Ahtong 1st Gear July 15, 2013 Share July 15, 2013 (edited) I think this is how an "action" action movie should be made. Simple, straight forward script with lots of action. How can any guy not like giant robots fighting giant monsters? It's like ye olde saturday cartoons remade into a movie with all the special effects. IMO this movie wins Iron Man, Man of Steel and Transformers. Maybe, just maybe it will pave the way for a live action Gundam, Mechwarrior or Starcraft film Edited July 15, 2013 by Ahtong ↡ Advertisement

Heard lots of positive reviews of the movie...its one of those "park brain outside before going in to view" movie...and dun be a smart arse...there is no logic. Dun ask...just pay to see action and lots of special effects.

Me don't like robots fight against Godzilla. To much special visual effect make not difficult like watching animation. Me prefer Iron man with some comedy and pretty woman. Watwheels Supersonic July 15, 2013 Share July 15, 2013 That's why movies have lots of genre. Ppl sometimes would occasionally likes mindless violence, mindless action, mindless horror, mindless zombies...those dun require a lot of thinking. It works but not always. Depending on mood. Dun ask...just pay to see action and lots of special effects. To be honest this movie got more logic than Transformers. This is because the script doesn't try to act cheem when it is not. The plot is very simple and can be summarized as "Giant monsters attack Earth through a dimensional portal under the sea. Giant robots try to nuke the portal." The biggest pichar lobang is when 2 scientist discover a secret about the dimensional portal. They had to run and take a helicoper to base just to tell their superior in person. Why they have no handphone is beyond me. Anyway, just sit back and watch a giant robot whack a giant monster on the head with a ship. And as with Evangelion and Gundam, sometimes a knife / sword is the most powderful weapon. Edited July 15, 2013 by Ahtong

Jman888 Moderator July 15, 2013 Share July 15, 2013 to me the two scientists happen to be the most watchable part of the movie maybe i watched it on sunday evening, end of the weekend. I felt that the movie is quite heavy, the story, the monster and the giant robot, all bloody heavy. so heavy that they have to take a few second just to throw a punch To be honest this movie got more logic than Transformers.
