Nzy Twincharged August 28, 2014 Share August 28, 2014 No lah.... below side bulge out does not necessarily means it is under inflated. Visually you can't tell one, must use a gauge to check it. You can go pump your tyres to the correct pressure and see if the bulging is still there or not. For my tyres, it remains there. And did you also observe the front 2 tyres are bulge out more than the rear ones? When I say bulge I mean really bulge. Lol. Like the Sidewalls are round and significantly thinner at the side that is touching the ground. When they go over humps can see the tire bouncing. Informed some of them before but they don't seem to bother. ↡ Advertisement

That reminds me - there was a tine a pump at shell stn was not working. I tried to tell the uncle attendant. He was indifferent - not his job scope. I went to the cashier and informed them. Their response wasn't that positive either.

TameDriver Twincharged May 15, 2015 Share May 15, 2015 For my cars using both regular type & run flats, I usually do a visual check b4 moving off in the mornings. For checking of tyre pressure, will do before road trip or after servicing. Reason for checking after servicing: the workshop will always overinflate the tyres & unevenly too! Air quality got differ at diff petrol stations? I just pump air when I go pump petrol... easier :) Pump and pump :) will try inhaling the air next time and see which air is fresher My route to work in the morning, only pass by one gas stn - shell - so stop by once a week to pump air. My route home, pass by one SPC and one Caltex, so pump petrol at SPC. That SPC very cramped. Often the air pump space is taken up by the car wash. The SPC near my home, the air pump is needle type. Prefer digital type. Estimating 215 on a needle gauge is not so straight fwd. BTW, this morning while pumping air at Esso, there was a Wish there and he pumped his tyres to 255. Isn't that way too high?

Tire pressure will drop so fast? Or you go overseas very long. Lol. Usually mine if I pump once every 10 weeks, the pump only click once then beep already. flashbang Turbocharged May 16, 2015 Share May 16, 2015 Wah so high... I see the manual, only recommended 29psi front and 28psi back for mine. That's around 200kpa only.
Banz86 5th Gear May 16, 2015 Share May 16, 2015 I think it depends on the tires also.. When I still using my Kumho tires, the recommended was 220 front and back. But when I changed to my current Falken tires, the shop recommended 230 front and back. I'm not sure, but I just follow. Depending on how long I was driving before turning into the pump. I usually pump higher when the tries are warm, around 235 or 240. ↡ Advertisement
