CLA Facelift

Hope the car don't come with her.... wouldn't even take it free!

Any pics on the CLA Coupe?

I think the new front bumper is uglier. Headlamps look updated to the 'petal' design.

Collecting my cla200 from c&c in a weeks time. Enquired the VIN but find it a bit strange. Wddxxxxxx2Nxxxxxx.

The 10th digit from my understanding indicates year of manufacture. This is seems to be 2002??? Is there something wrong?

This Is The Mercedes A-Class Sedan Before You’re Supposed To See It

Mercedes’ first ever A-Class sedan will be officially break cover this week.

The Beijing Auto Show will be opening its doors this week, and while a lot of the new cars on display will be exclusive to the Chinese market, one car American buyers will be keeping a keen eye on is the world debut of the Mercedes A-Class sedan since the previously revealed hatchback won’t be available in the US. Mercedes has already confirmed it will be lifting the wraps of the A-Class sedan at the event, and an image has already leaked online showing the compact sedan before its official reveal.

The revealing photo, shared by CarNewsChina, was snapped after “workers forgot to cover a giant backdrop they were busy hanging up on the exhibition hall.” Notice the text on the license plate reads “A Class L Sport Sedan,” indicating that what we’re looking at here is the long wheelbase version exclusive to the Chinese market providing extra rear legroom. Still, it gives us a good idea of what the US-spec Mercedes A-Class sedan will look like. The overall design certainly looks less dramatic than the Concept A Saloon we saw at Shanghai last year. At the front, the 2019 Mercedes-Benz A-Class Sedan clearly takes its cues from the hatchback.

It features the same slender headlights and large front grille, but the sedan version features a sloping roofline and AMG exterior parts, giving it a sporty appearance. Like the hatchback, the A-Class sedan will ride on an updated version of Mercedes’ Modular Front-drive Architecture, resulting in reduced weight and support for alternative drivetrains. In the US, we’re expecting the compact sedan to pack a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4 sending 224 horsepower to the front wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. It will also spawn high-performance AMG variants with all-wheel drive, including an A45 with over 400 hp on tap and an A35 with around 300 hp.

Expect the hatchback's class-leading interior and innovative MBUX infotainment system to carry over as well. In addition to the A-Class sedan, the Vision Mercedes-Maybach Ultimate Luxury concept will also be revealed at the show this week, but thanks to leaked images and details we already know what to expect.
