Silver_blade Turbocharged July 4, 2013 Share July 4, 2013 If you have changed your tyres and rims from 205/50/16 to, say, 225/40/18, the info on the door may not be relevant anymore, how to check correct tyre pressure then? I usually ask the tyre company and they recommend different kPa for different tyres used on the same car, it is confusing, so I use butt test. Anyone can enlighten me? If 225/40 R18 is one of the recommended tyre size for your car, the car user manual will also state the recommended tyre pressure. At least that have been the case of my current and previous car (from mid-90's). If you are using tyre size that is not recommended for your car, you may have to take what the tyre shop recommend. TVT Supercharged July 4, 2013 Share July 4, 2013 Next scheduled servicing is 100k. Your car just reached 100k, and your servicing is due at 100k! Since there is still 1 month to go, its better you do servicing first before you go. Also, with new EO, your engine will be smooth to drive on the NSH. If almost due to servicing i would encourage to go servicing BEFORE the trip as well as let mechanic check. Pinang is not melaka near but its far so to be safe early servicing is good

I also take the stated pressure as a guide then do the butt test n handling feel to adjust a bit up or down. I upped my rims from 14 to 16" with low profile tires but pressure remained almost the same. Now I pump 215kpa (nitrogen) wheeras last time I pump 220kpa fr stock rims/tires (185/65/14). Pisces69 6th Gear August 11, 2013 Share August 11, 2013 What is the recommended tyre pressure for Micheilin Xm 1 and 2 (185/70/14)? Always pump 220kpa on all tyres. Ride altis and I do not have the manual because it is a used ride. Last time on my Optra n Corona CD I pumped abt 220kpa front n back fr my stock size of 185/65/14. Tires also XM1.
