Rustyz 5th Gear June 27, 2013 Share June 27, 2013 Sleep more, prepare plenty of snack and hot drink, plus mp3 player. Car if u regular maintain nothing much to worry about as Malaysia is not that ulu help is everywhere just have plenty of rest and drive safe. Do download the AES app to find where are the active AES and not contribute too much to our neighbor
Pisces69 6th Gear June 27, 2013 Share June 27, 2013 (edited) Hahaha. Other den that? Haf that as every week drive to jb. Btw roughly how much toll to reach penang ipoh area anyone? Thanks Check yr spare tire n tools like jack, wheel nut wrench etc. U might need to do some minor repairs along the way like tighten screws nuts or bolts. Toll rates r on websites of PLUS etc. Better to break yr journey into 2 or 3 parts so u r well rested. Important is yr tires r in good shape wh enough air. Brakes still good. Suspension not worn. Usual is chk oil n water n all fluids b4 trip. Carry some spare engine oil n water in yr boot. Dun speed if u not used to driving fast. Hv a stand-by driver just in case. Get familiar wh using e GPS. It can b very distracting when u first start to use n it might distract u too much fm the other vehicles around u n the road conditions. Bring sunglasses to shade yr eyes fm strong sunlight n keep yr eyes rested. Enjoy yr drive. Edited June 27, 2013 by Pisces69

macrosszero Turbocharged June 27, 2013 Share June 27, 2013 Bring spare key and let your travel partner have it. You don't want to drop your key there and have someone bring it up from Singapore.
SVIT Neutral Newbie June 27, 2013 Share June 27, 2013 Most cars are capable of going up north. If you want to have a piece of minds, you can send your car to the automobile association to do a pre trip check. Doesnt cost much. Checkout their website. If you want to have a piece of minds, you can send your car to the automobile association to do a pre trip check. Doesnt cost much. Checkout their website. I believe shouldnt be any problem driving up north, as you also can see many malaysian cars drive down to sg. But most importantly ensure your tyre and engine bay hoses in good condition. You would not want your car to break down halfway. Edited June 28, 2013 by 13177

Kangadrool Supersonic June 28, 2013 Share June 28, 2013 (edited) Dun inflate but deflate 10kpa on your tyre pressure cause after driving for sometime the type expand dues to hot air inside. A big NO NO to deflate. You should inflate slightly more instead as a deflated tyre will create more heat buildup when travelling at higher speed over long distances. Please remember you are travelling on the real highway now, not pseudo highway as in Singapore.
