Guess you learn the hard way

As for me if no TP involved, I pay out of my own pocket!

agreed. having insurance is not really an assurance for yourself, but for others.

claim a few times you can wave bye bye to driving your car, unless you can get one that is gungho enough to provide cover, likely loaded with a huge premium.

another option to explore is to get the car insured by someone else, like a relative, and you are the 'named' driver?

good luck to TS, anyway.

yah bo bian... transfer the car to someone close and get him/her to buy insurance... even without NCD it will still be cheaper than you yourself getting the insurance..

Nobody can beat this lady...

She collected her Skoda Fabia at Tuas...after sign documents...she drove out...less than 100m....a big lorry bang into her side fender and send the engine to the floor...total lost.

She walk back to the office and remark..."I spend more time on the test drive than my own car"

Dunno if she qualify as Gone in 60 Sec or not...

I think I also unlucky on the road lately. Had been driving for more than 17 years. Had an accident in 2005, got hit by a car at the side and claim his insurance. And last year, my car rear was hit by a bike while waiting at traffic lights by a young kid and also in June this year hit again by a young kid in a "zing" vios while waiting for the car in front to turn right. Luckily my car did not jerk forward was stepping on the brakes. Hope my premium will not go up.

actually auto car is good in this sense, as sure have to step on brake to prevent it from moving so kanna rear end also wont surge forward that much...

Dude, a 'Big Lorry' bang into a 1.4l mini hatch.

How solid are you expecting a Skoda to be in this situation?

You risk insurer not paying out. Please don't give such advice as it will drive up cost for all.

Actually, there are some who are really not suited to drive, I have more than 20 years of driving experience and was involved in about 5 accidents, 4 of which I was found to be liability free (I had witnesses in some cases, some clear cut whereby I was rear-ended). One was my fault and I paid everything out of my pocket. I have maintained 50% NCD for many years, I credited it to my driving instructor and my dad, they are so bloody naggy that they instilled in me some very good driving habits which have stayed with me for life.

Suggest TS go back to driving school for remedial classes.
