Baphomet 3rd Gear June 27, 2013 Share June 27, 2013 Ya, love the noodle stall!!! We ate not once but four times. Two breakfast and two supper. Beat any wanton mee in SG. The noodle texture, the size n fillings of the wanton, totally superb. Pics of the shop here : Then walk 2mins further, just after the MTR entrance, roast pork, duck, geese, pigeon n charsiew shop. Hotel downstairs, just behind the two parked MPV is a big dim sum restaurant. Taken from my hotel room window. The Metropark Mongkok hotel room. Size was quite ok for two of us. Paiseh for the messy bed. Last day liao so did not bother to arrange it nicely. actually i talking about the other smaller one. This one i tried too

Lurpsexx 6th Gear June 27, 2013 Share June 27, 2013 If u dont mind one station up, Prince Edward MTR, I recommend Metropark Mongkok Hotel. Its at the start of Nathan Road. Downstairs got nice noodle shop at one side exit and dim sum shop at another side exit. Walk a bit north of Portland Street, abt 2mins, got Michelin star dim sum restaurant. Hi Bro, I know the dim sum side exit (where the tour buses park) but where is the wanton mee shop exit? I was there last Nov and the beds were hard and room dim! the hallways also dim dim one.. kinda eerie... But location is best to goto Mongkok market and the MTR... and the rooms are slightly larger than the normal HK hotel rooms... Maybe next time we'll try closer to Jordan direction... HK still best for shopping for the variety, electronics and food! Yum!
Turret Clutched June 27, 2013 Share June 27, 2013 Another alternative - If you dont mind to travel further up abit to shatin - you can try royal view hotel. This hotel is located on top of a large outskirt shopping mall served by KCR and buses. There is a bus-stop infront of the hotel going to airport. (A41). Prices wise - it really depending on your travel dates, at times it may be within 180SGD inclusive of taxes.
questionedfish Clutched June 27, 2013 Share June 27, 2013 (edited) TS you can try Mini Hotel Central if budget is your concern. Room size is very small though, but location is second to none. 5-10 mins walk to Central MTR. Right in the heart of Hong Kong Edited June 27, 2013 by Lamzh87

Lightbringer 6th Gear June 27, 2013 Share June 27, 2013 Hotel Benito is very good for a budget-friendly alternative. Just a stone throw away from the TST B2 station entrance. Clean, modern and minimalist rooms. Plenty of great food options and convenience stores around. And you can walk to the Star Ferry or up to Nathan Road :)

But take note that some of the room is quite small. Afterall room is clean and modern furnishing. But quite difficult to get a room since the rooms are limited. HK still best for shopping for the variety, electronics and food! Yum! It is on the other side exit. There are three entrances and exit at Metropark Mongkok Hotel. Standing at the lobby, facing the main road, that is the main entrance and exit. On the left will be the dim sum exit and tour buses park. On the right will be the wanton mee exit and to Prince Edward MTR. Next to wanton mee shop also got porridge and you tiao shop for breakfast. But me no like porridge so never recommend. But my wife n in-laws said the porridge was nice. Me only had you tiao and ovaltine. No milo in HK, only ovaltine and its damn diluted. Next to the wanton mee shop, got a small corner provision shop where u can buy ur mineral water cheaply. Its operated by an old man. Mineral water sold at 7/11 is damn expensive. We consume one bottle of mineral water per day. Edited June 28, 2013 by Adrianli
