I am on d1 spec coil - quite good stuff! Nope, just change to 17.. looks So funny on a small wheels.. Waiting to see my new rims on the weekend.. Actually I never touch spring , suspension... All is previous owner who did it.. I guess some people just like their ride to be low but too bad, I don't appreciate it nor got the money to change. My rules still apply, not spoil, don't change
Tiger1 6th Gear October 2, 2013 Share October 2, 2013 Why did some of you buy a Altis when you know it was meant for uncles like you said? I drove one for 3 yrs and it served me very well. No break downs, good fc, decent power, good comfortable drive n most imptly, reliable! Funny how TS describe the drive, only suitable for drive below 70. I treated my Altis very roughly n i did not find it like what you mentioned. Maybe you got a lemon? Ps, i am not a toyota salesman. I just feel that some of the comments here didnt do justice to a good reliable family car!

I just feel that some of the comments here didnt do justice to a good reliable family car! Totally agree with you, bro. What do you expect from a b&b car (omv<$20k)? My 07 Altis has served my family well for about 6 yrs without any issue. I find it value for $, decent power & comfort. No breakdown and simple maintenance... won't say fc is good but reasonable (ard 12km/l - 50% e'way)
Kurty Supercharged October 16, 2013 Share October 16, 2013 (edited) Don't want to start a new thread.. Hopefully someone advice me what I Should do.. Some questions: front strut bar, apart from improving the stability when cornering, it does nothing much. Anti roll bar, I read that most car nowadays has front anti roll bar only. Anti roll bar also improve the stability and handling but stress suspension. Adjustable aka coilover. Some commented improve handling while some say comfort is sacrificed. I know It's tough to strike a balance between handling and comfort. If I were to choose comfort, what Should I go for? my mechanics recommend me to consider a coilover, but none adjustable. It look the Same like the normal suspension and with a spring on it. Said to promise me the best of 2 world. Edited October 16, 2013 by Kurty
Edmemail 1st Gear October 23, 2013 Share October 23, 2013 U can try D1Spec coilover, most of my frens are on it. I would say quite comfortable if u lower the settings.

I would say quite comfortable if u lower the settings. but i learnt, none of the coilover promise you the best of 2 worlds.. you can only choose 1.. well, sticking to heavy duty absorber.. nowadays they got air and oil type.. plus change to another better sport spring.. easily around rm1k ++ ↡ Advertisement
