Can one without license be a owner ? But even if the insurance is under her name...its is also invalid. The insurance only cover those with valid license.

Can. My frd is doing that cos he wants to preserve his NCD.

Anyway, he also bought a car while taking his driving license back.

My advise ... dress decently, go to court, show remorse, plead guilty and ask for leniency.

No point spending money to engage a lawyer ...

Bro Civic6228,

Engaging a good Lawyer to plead leniency in the sub-court chamber with the magistrate is worth spending [nod]

True, our authority hates people fighting them, moreover repeated offence and in the wrong.

Engage lawyer they will throw you a stiffer penalty. A colleage under drink drive suspension, went to his mp oso no use.

i dont tink your friend deserve any sympathy.

it's these kind of people which makes our road dangerous. hope e judge is harsh and ban her for lives.

we don't need innoecent lives to be lost first

I agree.

A second chance has been given but she ruined herself, hence, before an innocent life being taken away, ban her from driving LIFETIME.

Actually, it is easier said than done....

Most of my friends under suspension can tahan only the first few months after driving for several years ....

After that, the urge to drive overcome them as when they started to take MRT, taxi and buses.... [:(]

Some had been complaining that while sitting inside the taxi, the driver skills irretate him so much until he feel like taking over the wheel. [furious]

The thing about insurance is, if license revoked, other people under her authorisation can still drive, depending on the insurance policy, ( some only named driver allowed ) .

So yes, she got insurance, but she got no license, cannot drive, other people that want to drive her car can, if she give authorisation to do that.

Since she no license , she drive insurance will not cover. Other people drive her car under her authorisation, insurance got cover.

This. Insurance would only cover licenced driver, so if she drives without licence, even when insurance is paid for, the insurance will not cover; in essense, driving without insurance cover (which is an offence).

@Lancedrift688, revoked period over already in April 2013.

She just caught today, 18/June/2013 so does it consider as normal case 1st time driving without valid license?

I think she is the one my colleague told me about. My colleague's revoked period also over in april. The only girl got caught for drink driving during the raid. Revoked end on 19th april..

NCD you can let go for up to 3 years mah...

My friend left to work overseas for 2 years...sold his cars in SG and then when he came back...he wrote in to insurance company to get his NCD back...they reinstate his NCD.

This kind of offender should be banned for life and be jailed. She deserves no sympathy from me. Everyone knows that drunk driving is a serious offence and she still wanna drive without licence. This shows she didn't learn her lesson yet. Punish her to the max!

i feel to drive without a licence is a very very serious offence because if she got into an accident and the other party got someone killed or seriously injuried, no insurance cover.... totally irresponsible. Should be locked up to learn a lesson.

that sounds like fun....

How about...

Your honour, I was checking my computer internet history when I saw that my boyfriend had been surfing a prostitution site and had booked an appointment with a girl that I recognised from my secondary school days. I knew she was under 18 and tried to call him to warn him, but his phone was switched off.

I was scared he would do something that would ruin his life so I jumped in the car to faster go and warn him....I knew it was illegal but I was willing to take the punishment if it would protect him from harm.
