Taking protein is very general. What type of amino acid they are being broken down into you do not know. Do some reading and find what you require. I have worked as a fitness trainer in the past, and I have tried all, seen all. The industry wants you to believe that every supplement out there is a miracle, but when comes to growing muscle, it is still the good old protein that is the most important. if I am you, I rather spend money on trying out the different protein brands in the market and find one that works well for you. For example, for myself, Syntha-6 from BSN mixed with Optimum nutrition gold Whey is great for me.......it doesn't upset my stomach, a taste that I like, easy to mix and smooth and i see great result from my training through this mix. On the other hand, when I try Optimum Nutrition Platinum HydoBuider, it upsets my stomach each time. But my friend who use it swears by it.....so everyone is different and you need to experiment. And IMO, to find out which one works well for an individual is harder than to find gold. And most would experience stomach upset, bloatness, cramps, etc.....along the way. I was rushed to hospital before for creatine consumption that causes me extreme stomach cramps. I have tried before pills, powder, liquid, and all the latest " easy absorption" creatines. if works well, at most it gives you gratification from the extra volume due to water retention. The moment you stop taking, it goes back to normal. Don't waste money on creatine. Not worth it. After nearly 20 years of pursuing this interest, I finally figure out that the best way to grow and retain muscles is hard work in the gym, sufficient sleep and loads of protein.
