The video news mention "Japan have more issue with DSG due to hot weather and lotsa start stop driving"!! sound like Singapore too as major City driving.

Volkswagen executive vice-president Ulrich Hackenberg said this month that the China recall related to a problem with Chinese-built DSGs. He said DSGs in Australia were made in Europe. But the company had not revealed where the faulty Japanese DSGs were made.

Japan cant be getting chinese made DSG too yeah?

Hopefully our government can do something about this before someone get killed.

Dont think they care. Cos they know VW is a big tax contributor. They are more than happy to see a whole page of ads in ST by VW "We will cont to play with balls" to encourage people to buy more. [laugh]

The victim's car was a manual by the way. The others who came forth to talk about it were on DSG though.

Very worrisome that the fear is from faulty engine and gearbox causing sudden stopping of engine. I will be damn worried for my family driving such potentially problematic car..

Don't know how long more before a public apology from vw comes out [mad] . I guess they are waiting for more and more countries to recall the dsg cars.

I think if we hang a VW executive evrytime someone gets killed due to their car's fault might result in faster responses. Just line them up and inform them. Starting from the bottom.

Many people here already get killed by trees planted by NParks and are still being killed.

Nothing is done.
