the rule is meant to stop hard core gamblers from being screwed so badly that they cannot get out of the hole, but do you really think hard core gamblers will report themselves, stupid always come up with stupid rules, waste paper and poor tree

"The committee will evaluate the individual's financial vulnerability, taking into account factors such as frequency and pattern of casino visits, credit record, work situation and information provided by him and family members."

How does this work? We need to produce CPF statement and pay slip at the entrance

The S$100 entrance fee in itself, IMHO, is a joke.

If one wishes to squander all his/her wealth, or whatever is left, ... so be it.

Whatever happened to free will?

Control this, dictate that ... make this a welfare state, then we'll talk.

Until I receive $$ from the state, how I spend my $$ is my own prerogative.

But how you spend your own $ is not your perogative - your CPF money all you cannot decide how to spend...

I visit RWS daily since the opening until now. Probably absent for 20 days due to tyre puncture, fall sick or some close relative past away. I was able to visit RWS even I've just done my endoscopy at Mt E. I am not afraid CRA limits my visits, I am more afraid RWS ban me from entering.

CRA see daily visit with win/lose $2-5k seriously and thinks that $40-100k win/lose monthly is acceptable, actually both are the same. However, RWS see win/lose $60-100k seriously but did not notice win/lose $2~5k daily.

$2~5k winning per day and cash out TITO (ticket) using anonymous method, RWS knows nothing.

$40-100k winning per month, RWS will definitely put your name in their "blacklist". A player cannot cashout amount more than $5k from the kiosk, membership card or ID is required when cashing out at the counter and all cash out transactions leave a record in their system.

BTW, I am not a professional, I am a donator.

It's "donor", and honestly, there are far more worthy causes to donate to.

This is not a COUNTRY... Citizen earned through their means yet the money is not theirs to spend (e.g CPF). There maybe ppl who applied for financial assistance from Gov, then banned them from entering totally.

Build 2 casinos against the majority, now come out with silly regulations to stop citizens from entering, really becoming 'sillypore"... The root cause: -

Casinos - dun built no problem, built then restrict these restrict that on citizens.

We are prisoners of our own island. Keep emphasizing it will help tourisms but never for the citizens, when tourisms brought in thousands, why are the POI (Places of Interest) not discounted for citizens?

Wouldn't it be embarrassing if a tourist was to ask Singaporeans, "Have you been to here?" the answer is NO... too expensive (like the Singapore Flyer)...

Sad, everything for money...

I go MBS and RWS occassionally, and I can tell you, if not because of the levy, much more people will go to the casino and some will get addicted. For those who pay are the ones who are bent on going anyway. So the levy is to prevent those look see look see people from unknowingly falling into the abyss of gambling. As a gambler i also hope to do away with the levy, but i also can see that the levy is necessary.

If the govt. wants to control gambling, then they should start with the 4D/Toto outlets first.

Now even many outlets are set up next to schools and other education schools which was

not allowed previously. The Govt should levy every person buying 4D/Toto a minimum of $10

per purchase. ( more revenue hor )
