Real did make an attempt to lure him but Neymar has his mind made up long ago. Best thing about this deal is that all is confirmed but player and agent father needs to make it as if it is a tough decision to make to leave Santos.

actually for the good of the wonderkid, he should go play in some lesser clubs in Europe first, eg Porto, Marseille

Ronaldinho took a few years to adjust at PSG before he went and became the best player in the world at Barca

but i got a feeling Neymar will follow the footsteps of Robinho instead (lots of promises but fails to deliver).....

In more of Reina news, it is said that he has rejected several offers. He agreed with Liverpool he would only leave for Barcelona. If not, renewal until 2018.

ok...so reina is waiting for barca to offer. if not...he's staying. can say that he's a loyal kind.

We will know next season. But not easy for a Brazilian to get used to Europe. Adriano I heard is offered contract to show Neymar around. So might take up to a season for him to settled. Look at Lucas, he took a while too but he changed position as well, so might take longer to adapt.

Neymar is used to being the main focal point at Santos...

unlikely he will be the one at barca...

One bro mentioned he follows in Robinho footsteps... [laugh]

Still not so bad...

Worse is he follows in Denilson footsteps instead... [:p]

Yes bro. If Barcelona comes calling, he will go. Else he stays. I will want him as vice captain if he stays.

Brazil has quite a number of high profile flops. Like Denilson and Robinho.

I suspect Neymar may strugge in Barca too. The problem with the brazillians is that because they are very skilful, the moment they break into the scene in Brazil scoring lots of goals with their fancy dribbling skills, the media would tout them as the next big thing and become overnight sensation. However, physically and mentally whether they can cope with the demands of the big european leagues at such young age is another question. I suspect for some players like Ronaldo (the fat one). he is successful evemtually as he was being paced in his development as a player when starting off in europe with a smaller club and less competitive league ie PSV/Dutch League before he went to a big club. They may never cope or take too long to settle down when first move to europe is to big clubs like RM or Barca.

I notice all the Brazilian flops like Robinho and Denilson are slim and light weight.

They need to bulk up to succeed.

Just like Ronaldo was a success because of his waist line.

He was so bulky that a defender found it very hard to take the ball off him.

He used his bulk and waist line to keep the defender from reaching the ball.

:D

i find these two pairs extremely similar... dunno history will repeat anot?? :D :D

the Brazilian wonderkids of the early 2000s - Robinho and Diego

- full of promises at Santos

- won titles together in Brazil league

- devastating pair... one was goal-scoring forward with amazing dribbling ability, and the other was a playmaker with good vision and passing

- both went to Europe, and failed to shine

the Brazilian wonderkids of the early 2010s - Neymar and Ganso

- full of promises at Santos

- won titles together in Brazil league

- devastating pair... one was goal-scoring forward with amazing dribbling ability, and the other was a playmaker with good vision and passing

- Ganso fades away already... now left Neymar taking his ventures in Europe

Time will tell but I wish Neymar well. A very talented footballer.

Other news - Lewandowski's agent confirmed on Polish TV - Polish striker will join Bayern over next few days.

Anyway bulky is good. Like the great dane Jan Molby.

He too was bulky but really fast.
