I like the 2nd last paragraph of this article: "Usual Suspects Briefed on Suarez Arsenal Bid"

"....Liverpool need to show some balls and Luis Suarez needs to man up and act professionally and leave the club graciously like Xabi Alonso did and not do a Michael Owen or a Javier Mascherano. Talk of the 'pain' caused by the British media is a poor excuse. We don't begrudge Suarez leaving to win silverware and let's be honest, few people would reject Real Madrid, but don't treat us, the fans, like we're muppets."

Suarez already told the club that he wants to leave, but also leave it to the club to handle his transfer. Alonso also informed the club early of his intention that he wishes to return to Spain and let the club handles his transfer.

Only difference is that Suarez spoke to press back home, which he is fully entitled to. So far, he had not said anything disrespectful to the club. He kept emphasizing that Liverpool is still his club until a bid is accepted by the club for him to leave.

This year standard drop a bit, papadopolous and mkhitaryan were considered as world class liao [:p]

at least both are "star" players in their own national squads... hahaha...

now how many "star" players we have in our first 11, or at least they are the first 11 in their respective national teams?

Damn depressing you put it this way.

Johnson, Agger, Skrtel, Allen, Gerrard, Suarez. I think that's about it.

The only star player leaving too...

Papadopoulos still having problems with his knee and will continue rehabilitation in Greece [Kicker]

Apart from Schalke's asking price, this could be another reason why Liverpool are holding back on him.

In other news, Liverpool midfielder Suso set to join Almeria on loan.

Shelvey played his first warm up match for Swansea. In that 45 min, set up a goal and scored another.

hmmm... from the above, no wonder our offense has problems killing off games (if not scoring goals in the first place), especially against top teams ...

and for those that are in their national teams, how good are their teams in international ranking too? ... sigh...

Thiago, who has an 18M buyout clause, has rejected offers from Man United and Real Madrid. He would get a 4M year salary at Bayern. [cope]

Haiz, even Man U loses targets to German clubs now.

Even Italian clubs now are gaining popularity. Roma have a €20m agreement with PSV for Strootman.

However, Man City have agreed a €26m plus add-ons deal with Fiorentina for Stevan Jovetić.

I guess that guardiola is the main reason he chose Bayern.

Good point.

Money wise, Man U pay more.

Between Guardiola and Moyes, I think playing under ex Barcelona boss might be more tempting.

he got chance to play meh ?

Ribery, Robben, Shaqiri, Gotze, are all ahead of him in AMF position. Like that might as well stay in Barca one more year to develop

Guardiola left Barcelona for a year liao. So he is not the reason as he can't select him to play. :D

Ribery and Robben can play out wide. Also Giardiola might introduce a different style of play in Bayern, probably more possession based like Barcelona. Thiago might see this as a plus to his game.

Might be for the familiarity reason that Thiago is heading to Bayern Munchen.
