LAmela is a winger /attack midfield type. Nota out and out striker. Pool needs a focal point of attack.

Honestly, if we look at the attackers whom we have signed or interested to sign, we see common traits.

Fast, able to come from deep, with a keen eye for a pass in the final attacking third.

In BR system, we do not need a focal point. We need a fluid front three.

yeah.... bend down like beckham!!! [laugh]

actually would prefer marco reus but that is out of reach now

Reus, gotze and holtby were the 3 good young players I hoped would come to the epl. After that, maybe go snoop for Belgian gems. There seem to be a few around these days.

LFC are close to signing Valencia youngster Pedro Chirivella (16 yo). Pedro Chirivella is a player in the mould of Sergio Busquets. He had offers from other PL teams but has chosen LFC. (Vavel)

In the mould of Busquets? That's nice. Best DM is my opinion.

Crouch is 2m, based on Wiki

Watch the clip, he is not at all clumsy.

Anyway, when I mentioned he will be signed if Suarez leaves, is not a one to one replacement per se, but rather how the fund will be used.

when asked if Lamela is going to LFC? Marcotti answers "Would be very expensive. And depends on who the new Roma boss is and whether they keep Baldini as DoF"

Maybe afraid to leave comfort zone

Partially though the other aspect is that there is always fierce competition for starting or first eleven in almost every game especially if you look at the quality sitting at the reserves bench.

SAF is a true legend with silverware to back it all up. That is an undisputed fact.

But AW? I can only say he is good in polishing rough diamonds. But other than that, I wouldn't consider him a legend :D

Bee, AW once held the record of his team going one EPL season unbeaten. I think if my memory did not fail me, that team was known as the "Unbeatables".

Not sure of the competition though the bench is strong, front 6 is pretty fixed while there isn't enough competition for back 5
