Not sure but Wigan confirmed that Everton approached on last Friday for permission to talk to Martinez. Wigan chairman told them to wait as he would like to speak to Martinez first. Apparent talks took place today and Wigan agreed to let him go.

Star players would have ambition of their own too. When an ridiculous offer comes in, they will grab, especially if the intention of the club is clear to assemble an star studded team to create some history.

2) There is indeed a LFC delegation in France, possibly to move the Genier deal.
