"Roberto's record speaks for itself, he has clearly secured the love and respect of our fans," said City chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak.

"He has done as he promised and delivered silverware and success."

Its like ur boss tell u u met ur KPI..but we still going to sack u.

In the modern game, no one can last as long as SAF.

Tats y i say SAF is not the greatest. There have been years Man U din win anything and saf could continue. The upper management at man u gave him time, something which no other mgr enjoys today.

Saf is great, but can he do the same with other clubs? The truly great mgr are those who win with multiple clubs or country, like Mourinho, Del bosque. But of cos hardcore man u fans will disagree on this.

Same as Gunners, the owner from Emirates still stand behind him even he did not win any silverwares for few years ... -_-

the barren years were when arsenal was their nemesis I think sometime in years before and after 2005. then JM led Chelsea also won the BPL twice, and man u had another barren spell.

I think arsenal is a different case but similar background.

I think the gunners owner feel indebted to him for bringing them their most difficult years of stadium building with limited kitty and in fact having to sell high profile players to fund the operation. to be fair to wenger, I don't think most managers (SAF included) could see to the financial viability of the club and continue remaining in the top echelons of local and European competitions given the mammoth stadium building bill of Arsenal. only he has a track record of buying players on the cheap and selling them on the high price and maintaining the challenge with untested players.

I think man u management at most can be grateful to SAF for delivering trophies in the past. but he had some luck on his side because his longest barren spell was in his initial years of Man U management and during then club owners are not so ruthless and results oriented to sack if results don't come their way in short spell.

you think the city owners are difficult to please by sacking mancini? I would have done the same if I am the owner.

how much did mancini spend on player transfer fees and salaries? what has he delivered? and why when results didn't go his way, he is blaming everyone but himself?

eg - city bosses didn't give him kitty to allow RVP to join neigbhours Man U instead of Man City

- players like hart, nasri are often blamed by him when results are not going their way. but he got to remember part of his job is also to manage the players

even the only meaningful title he won for the club last year was through a huge dose of good luck.

mancini biggest fault is by thinking he can solve all problem by throwing money. money which the sheiks are reluctant to give given the FPP regulations imposed by fifa.

instead of relooking his tactics to see how he can best use the talents at his disposal, he just conveniently blames the sheiks and board for not getting his transfer target.

his failure to see the big picture is the real reason why he's out.

yeah........and as a fan I hate to see whiner managers like him.

I mean people do whine there are then about favouritism and refereeing mistakes.

but this guy tops the whiners list. he whines at his bosses, his players, referees and even FAs. he has such a loser mentality that even if I have unlimited money to throw, I don't want to help a whiner/loser with it.

not ego. he never use his brain.

if just throw money and buy all the best players can win the title, then wont need to pay so much to hire him.

This mancini kept complaining to the public that the club didnt buy new players to explain his failures, was courting trouble. no one should ever humiliate his boss . Bye Mancini, enjoy your $10mil severance fee.

1)Richards

2)Dzeko

3)Javi martinez

4)jack rodwell

Honestly... i cannot think of any bench stronger than that of MC...

good for him to go... he behaves arrogantly even towards his own players...

That u will never see from a top club manager...

Mario as it appears has a problem of not creating problems...

and Mancini it appears likes to highlight problems...

hahaha i would think if it was Jose... he most likely would have taken on all the attention on himself to save Mario from the press...

i think Mancini needs to work alot on his Man management skills...

agree, i dislike him for being arrogant also. he already has such a strong team already still want to complain, and never take personal responsibility for failures. good riddance, i was hoping for this since some time ago.

cannot say like that also. dont forget, building up a squad or club for long terms is also essential to be define success. he had manager to revived the club 3 generation.

those who win with multiple clubs one, dont know if they can build up a club that last long or not.

How often do we hear City, Chelsea and Pool are walking by the thread-line, at least Pool has the liberty to soften up, not the rest owned by Russian or

Sheiks . . .

How can the manager got sacked instead of the team players who did not perform ?

I mean, the players may or may not play to instructions given, the manager can't do much as I can see some group are responsible for mancini sacking, Di Matteo, JoseM, Rafa, Rednapps and the rest that follow suit.

Mancini is an outstanding manager, he may not be the special one, and he did very well in Milan, bringing honour & color, one thing for sure, Clubs owned by these billionaires are part of the results achievers who cannot take less, let alone be loser, The loss to Wigan was the straw that broke the camel back, so Did ManciNI deserve to go, I dun really think so,

The players has a part to play too, they shuld be sold or at least, after all they played the game and loss, dun tell me there are no hero, only culprit being the manager ?

It's a team effort and it's not nice to blame the manager alone.
