Ok I do not know where to post this review about a used car dealer I've made a transaction with so here goes... I just had to register, be a member to get this message across!

I keep reading about blacklisted used car dealers but here's one that blew my mind! His name is Shawn Sim from Yinchuan Auto.

We bought a Ford from him. It was the only car we saw which mileage is NOT tampered with because it tallies with the year of the car AND service records retrieved from Ford. 1 previous owner, which I confirmed because I contacted the name I saw on the service records. Major servicing done and proven. NO admin fee. He got a higher insurance quote than we did from our agent and had no qualms about asking us to go ahead with ours. Got the car in perfect condition - husband and I love it to bits!

This morning, my car couldn't start. Turns out the battery went flat (my fault because I didn't turn off the lights since 4.30pm yesterday!). Called and he came over in an hour (he lives in Bukit Panjang and us in Bedok). Helped boost the battery then suggested bringing the car to his workshop to get it checked/replaced if need be. Since he knew I'm pregnant and my husband is away on reservist, he offered to drive to and fro for us. All these, without issue about payment. Husband and I were the ones who told him to let us know the cost and that we will pay.

Basically, my faith in humanity (with regards to used car dealers) is restored! Maybe we're just one of the lucky ones but I recommend anyone to approach him for an ethical, professional and friendly service.

We have no qualms about getting another used car... if it's from him. Drop me a message should you have any other questions! :)

You make a great CSI ...

Can't help it. The pricing on that unit stood out as a bit of a bad joke.

Give exemption people complain,

G_G lor. sooner or later, 2nd hand car shops will all close

Actually this is quite a valid concern hor

You rush to buy now for the 100% financing

But you also know that after clearing stock, those who cannot survive will close

then warranty how?

Because I'm a woman and pregnant, I cannot have time to surf car forum? That's very sexist. It's because my husband's in the jungle that I am the one driving and having to settle whatever problems that arise. We bought the car 2 weeks ago btw, when my husband was around. I have been following the threads on here and I find it really sad that when someone posts about a blacklisted dealer, everyone jumps on board and believe without a doubt but when it's a genuine commendation, so many assumptions and accusations. Here's a link to my FB - seeing that you're doubting the authenticity of my existence as Mizah and NOT Shawn. https://www.facebook.com/mizmizah

I understand that. I had my reservations before getting the car too (after all that I read on here AND the many dodgy dealers we came across while recce-ing for a car) but after knowing him, and really the fact that he IS STILL attending to us AFTER the sale is just extra-ordinary and I needed to prove I AM real. And just so anyone thinks I'm getting something out of this, I'm not. It truly is a genuine commendation. Nothing more. Nothing less. That's it. =D

Well, if you cannot beat them, why not join them?

[thumbsup]

for those that are not happy with the exemptions, why not consider disabling a hand or leg so that can enjoy good deal.

For some, car is a convenience, not a luxury -

we must be glad that we are able bodied people
