Swifter78 2nd Gear May 29, 2013 Share May 29, 2013 The DSG Recall was for VW vehicles produced in years 2010-2011. I am driving a 2012 Touran for almost a year now, clocked in 25K. No problems whatsoever. Not even juddering. However, I have a friend who bought a 2012 Jetta but encountered juddering. I'm not sure if his Jetta was built in Mexico and mine in Germany makes a difference or I am just lucky? Fingers crossed. 25k might be still early. My MU kena at 35k. Mine is 2011 Touran though and I have sold it.

Atrecord Supersonic May 29, 2013 Share May 29, 2013 But ISIS has not rear aircon.....same as Wish. That's right, and that was the reason why among wish, isis and stepwagon, it was down to only betw wish and stepwagon for me. If want power, rear aircon and space, it was stepwgn If want style, economical, peace of mind (parts availability) and ease of driving (wish is most car-like among the 3), FC, it was wish if want ease of getting in, it was ISIS... Atrecord Supersonic May 29, 2013 Share May 29, 2013 But is it safe? How much it'll cost? The PI that boasted that it started as a aircon specialist is i think no longer in the biz... I went to their showroom to check it out and was very tempted to get the car from them, as they sounded more knowledgeable than the other shops that I called up to ask. But in the end, for some reason I didn't take the risk then and just got a normal wish elsewhere. Maybe it wasn't a bad choice - as there are stories of water leak with the after-market aircon, and if the PI is not around anymore it was always going to be worse... Anyway, i installed a ceiling fan in the wish, and it helps a lot on hot days.
Darryn Turbocharged May 29, 2013 Share May 29, 2013 But is it safe? How much it'll cost? Safe? What do you think it will do - burst into flames and explode? It's just ducting and a fan... Cost - no idea whatsoever - you'd need to talk to an aircon specialist to find out

TVT Supercharged May 29, 2013 Share May 29, 2013 Safe? What do you think it will do - burst into flames and explode? It's just ducting and a fan... Who knows? Maybe a short-circuit, or a leak or loose connection....if it is not factory-installed, or installed properly by a specialist in that area, then there will be some risk... Turbonetics 2nd Gear May 29, 2013 Share May 29, 2013 Edix is nice but asking price of second hand is pretty high due to limited numbers for sale. Else i think i will consider edix. yes,the price command is slightly higher. but the flexibility, boot space and its uniqueness is priceless. though the outlook isn't anything to shout about. when i was looking around for cars,i didn't thought of Edix. I wanted a car big enough for my family of 4 and sometimes fetching our parents with enough boots space to store my barang. I was looking from Wish to Picnic to Odyssey and all has got very small boot space,i don't like the hassle to remove my barang at the boots and lift up the rear seats when i need to ferry extra people. until a salesperson recommend me the Edix. though it is 6 seaters, but it can squeeze 7 adults. just like the last row of MPV sitting 2 adults is also not a problem. Moreover Edix has got very spacious legroom and also the boot is so big that i do not have to worry about compromising it to ferry extra people.
