Golfmatic Neutral Newbie May 11, 2013 Share May 11, 2013 Trajet is the best lah. Cheap and solid. Spacious too! My friend wants to look for a 2007 or 2008 one. Trajet good choice ? No reliability issues I hope.
Enye Hypersonic May 11, 2013 Share May 11, 2013 Boh pian nowadays, COE ascending mt everest, depreciation sure siong one. 80% HW. I'm light footed. Estima 20k-25k more than presage. Late 2008 model. Wish/ Steam asking for 9k-10k less than presage. Might as well go for 75k presage full mpv. your dep must be around 10K per annum luckily I bought my used one in 2009 ~6k per annum now waiting for COE to drop over the next 2 years
Didu Turbocharged May 11, 2013 Share May 11, 2013 My friend wants to look for a 2007 or 2008 one. Trajet good choice ? No reliability issues I hope. I've an ex-colleague who changed to a 2nd hand Trajet for occasional family trips up north. Having gone from an Axio to a Trajet, I ask if he's not concern with FC on the Trajet. He said the up front cost saving of the purchase price will take care of the additional fuel charges down the road. I assumed that this is provided the gasoline price don't go through the roof in the near future. He also told me that he replaced all the wear & tear parts like brake pads, tires, suspension, timing belts, wiper blades, & all fluids/lubricants just to be safe. Redmouthfish 1st Gear May 11, 2013 Share May 11, 2013 thanks .. so wish and stream is the more economic for family use? how about mazda 5 ? cheers I drove a Mazda 5 from oct 2005 , so about 7.5 years . I would say it is a very good car. The seat arrangement on the second row is very convenient as you can walk thru to the third row. My children love that. The sliding door also helps if you have old parents with walking stick as it is very easy on get in and out. My FC is about 10 to 10.5 km/ l , and the car handling very well. Other than the normal servicing, I only changed the tyre and brake pad due to wear and tear. I drove a total 195000 km in 7.5 years without any issue. One complaint is the air con as it is not very powerful and cold. On hot day, it might be a problem for the third row passenger .

Albeniz Turbocharged May 11, 2013 Share May 11, 2013 What about Toyota Sienta? Heard that it created the effect of roomy leg space by raising the rear seats.

Typoerror Neutral Newbie May 11, 2013 Share May 11, 2013 If don't mind old car, can check out the before-2006 Honda stream 2.0vtec. Powerful and more roomy than current Stream. Comes with 3rd row air con. Yearly dep is abt $5k, less than Freed.
Ahsiong Neutral Newbie May 11, 2013 Share May 11, 2013 What about Toyota Sienta? Heard that it created the effect of roomy leg space by raising the rear seats. haha...finally someone mentioned about toyota sienta. i am driving it myself too. FC about 12.5km/L, using same 1.5L engine as VIOS, CVT transmission. power wise still ok. but seems like nobody is selling in the 2nd hand market now. it used to be one of the cheapest MPV during those times when the COE are low. Nzy Twincharged May 11, 2013 Share May 11, 2013 And how low was that? Am curious how much MPVs were going in the past MPVs were quite cheap in the past. I think all cars were quite cheap that time. In 2010 bought a brand new Honda Stream for 80K.

Cluboxed 1st Gear May 12, 2013 Share May 12, 2013 just my own opinion, even with the 3rd row aircon vents, it still can be quite hot unless it is a tri-zone airconditioning... ↡ Advertisement
