now all engines downsized to 1.4, 1.6, 1.8 n 2.0. choose those w turbo, though w turbo wear n tear comes earlier.

I beg to differ. By the way have you owned a TC car ?. I have A Frosty for 5years and I have not

changed any major parts or the turbo, not even the engine mounting.

Don't waste time, tested my colleague 2.2turbo diesel in US, way better than 2.5NA....I tested the new 2.5 Mazda 6..... Same engine, cannot make it....after all these years with turbo, L6 and V6.

Anyone that find the 2L engine sufficient will be just as happy with a QQ.

Worst of I ask the SA if they will bring in the 2.2 turbo diesel. He quote got such engine mey? And state the 2.5L is as good as the new Lexus IS or BMW inline L6......he obviously never drive inline L6 or Lexus V6 in his f--king life.....period....but must say Mazda have the better interior than rest of Japan made......not including Lexus. They need to work on their engine!!!! Even their v6 is not impressive per my last experince of mazda rental car in USA.....

road tax pricey... but have turbo even more shiok, though u won't boost much locally.

used to owned one for 3.5yrs, 1.5 turbo. yes, no issues at all thru out ownership n have clocked 70k km mileage since new.

this is provided we don't do those ecu remapping / upgrade hardware.

but read too many issues about twin clutch gb, so more hp & torque is not bliss.

These 2 weeks in JB I saw quite a lot of CX5....I think this model is the best selling Mazda in Malaysia now....

yes, 2.2l turbo diesel very shiok; tried the sorento, really leave the rest in the dust. but again, diesel road tax worse off than 2.5l petrol.

For discussion purpose, any comments on the abovementioned Jap SUVs? Please try not to compare with conti SUVs.

obviously Forster is not belong to this categroy, it stands out than its competitors,

2.0L TC engine with 240bhp/350Nm, boxer engine and AWD, 7 Airbags...etc,

it should compare with Conti makes like FL2, X3, Q5, ML250...etc

To be fair, ths topic should be:

RAV4 vs Forester vs CX 5 vs CR-V vs Captiva vs Santa Fe vs Sorento

I have only tested the new forestor. It's good. I didn't look at crv bec it only has 2 airbag for the 2.0 plus it cost more than the forester or Cx5 just bec it's a Honda.. New Rav4, I don't quite like the design + it cost 40k more than the forestor although its omv is 10k more. cX5 is one that I am thinking hard and will be interested to test drive.

CX5 wins in terms of omv value vs selling price, has better FC on paper

forestor win in terms of power at 240ps, 350nM of torque, electric tailgate, 7 airbags, permanenet AWD, bigger sun roof and also free 3 year of servicing or first 60k free service. Downside is high insurance for me is at 2.8k, and 1.8k for my wife.

It's individual choice but I'm putting my $$ with forestor in june

don't understand why your wife's insurance is so much lower than you?

If I am not wrong, there is a limit to the number of letters and words in the topic? If not I would have vs a lot of others car makes and models lol
