THINKWARE / INAVI users, any feedback from you.

Installed mine THINKWARE INAVI FXD700 some 3 weeks ago and was very happy with the unit. Have upgraded to the 'English' version and ha..ha..., missed the sweet Korean voices everytime switch on the unit. Think same voice used in 'English' version but wondering if it is the same girl.

As it comes with a rear cam, I had also just installed a small screen to view what had been recording and using the rear cam to assist in reversing.

Just curious to find out if there are any other problems users face.

Yes indeed thinkware built quality is very good . Also , this brand we just launched for 2 months in singapore , so along the way we will be getting more users to join us . We want feedback about userbility , so in future we can improve

 

How about you ? do you think a phone app is necessary ?

Can the Korean wording on the screen be converted to English one ?

 

Had done my conversion from Korean voices to English voice but the wording still appear in Korean on screen.

Just fixed the FXD700 forward and back cam today, a few comments:

At 1080 front (rear is fixed vga) the recording size is about 80Mb per file (1 min)

At 720 front, size is about 65-70Mb per file

 

Even when fixed to battery, there is a setting to change it to drive cam only mode (Haven't tested it out).

When playing the software, the event and continuous mode videos are in different folders and are not played together, maybe I need to play with the software more though.

My impression is that it does not go into parking mode automatically and records all the time and not just movement/events only. I need to confirm this again.

 

Will comment more on the video quality when I got more samples. I estimate that at the sizes above, 1080 should hold about 6+ hours of video while 720 will hold about 7+ hours for a 32GB microSD card

For the Continuous and event part , after you select the source to be SDcard , it should load all the files into the software , and from there you will be able to select continuous or event if you wish to playback :D

Clarity seems good so far, need to run a bit at night to see the night mode videos.

As for the videos, the software have seperate tabs for events and continous videos but you can't seem to view them together. So if I go over a rough patch, there'll be a few seconds skip where the video is in the events tab when I'm viewing the videos (Does that make sense? Basically you cannot view all videos together in 1 tab)

In the Continuous folder, video file can be recorded only until the moment of event.

It is the safest way to keep the file . :D
