the passenger ran out of the taxi, scary [sweatdrop] [sweatdrop]

That is a bad move.. lucky enough that there is a delay before the merc break free. Should have stayed in d cab.. since its close contact, damage wouldn't be serious.

agree it was a close call when they ran out, but if the kuku driver decide to reverse and bang again, then the impact will be quite bad if staying in the car.

why did the merc try to drive off after langgar the taxi? so reckless! almost hit the pedestrians in the midst of driving off and langgar a bus. Jialat... this driver best not to drive.

machiam very panic and desperate to leave the first accident with the taxi.

luckily all caught on video.... and lots of witnesses.

Safe ride guys, especially around such areas.... approach junctions with care and be alert, dun sms/ chat on phone or follow too closely to car/ whatever infront.

Cheers

somehow i suspected he suffered from stroke attack or what. reports say that he is 50 year old and combined with the car he is driving, that he got himself trapped in the car as well, i really suspect it is not case of kuku nor drunk. last year there was another case in yishun when an old mercs also reversed quite some distance into the shophouses. later it was reported he suffered from stroke attack and couldn't lift his foot off the pedal.

this case seems almost similar but the effects more destructive mainly because the gear should be in "D" rather than "R" in yishun case.

from the witness description, that could be the case.

Where did the mercedes end up ultimately? If driver passed out, it would not have gone very far, right?

From CNA. Witness says 1 car crashed into 3 taxis, 1 bus & another car. A reporter interviewed a lorry driver and he said the driver of the Mercedes (who looked like he was in his 50s) lost control of his car. Some people tried to help him by unlocking his car, but were unable to do so.
