Alot of areas...

Most likely because the competition here is not as bad as other countries. Like China where population is in billions, they have no choice but to be kiasu...

Wonder if this will ever come back into fashion?

...survey looked at nearly 20,000 Danish kids between the ages of 5 and 19. It found that kids who cycled or walked to school, rather than traveling by car or public transportation, performed measurably better on tasks demanding concentration, such as solving puzzles, and that the effects lasted for up to four hours after they got to school.

"As a third-grade pupil, if you exercise and bike to school, your ability to concentrate increases to the equivalent of someone half a year further in their studies," he added.

There is a reason why all the girls in places like Holland are so slim.

Back to topic, no matter if it improve grades, I think in general, the kids need to excerise & move a little more in Singapore. The amount of obeseity & overweight among kid in Sinagpore these days are disturbing. During my pri days, 20 or so years ago, you can count the number of overweight kids in a single hand across the same pri. level. Now, every 4 or 5 kids, one is overweight. At least base on my observation.

During my days, its pretty hard to get fat, when you play ping pong, basketball or soccer before or after classes, & canteen break. Maybe its video games, ipad, parent too sayang kids & drive them point to point, or too much time on enrichment course....

Totally agree. There used to be the token fat kid or 2 in the class, now there are a lot more and common. Not good.

And yeah, don't see too many out playing games so much nowadays.
