Just habit, i guessed. I will normally turn on the engine and go to the smoking corner for a fag.

5 bx burn a lot of fuel, bcos 30 mins. Burn solid fuel from body also

start engine and move off immediately..no waiting

For me I turn the key to On. After the gauges finish their sweep like 2 sec I crank engine. Move off right away.

No hard driving till engine temp reaches optimum.

Honda WS tell me to not to full start but on the car first let all the car system program settled down. Example the ABS light to go off before starting the engine. So far so good. I don't have ABS or SRS problem.

My (CDTI) normally I don wait for it to warm up, just go, but according to my owner manual, it states to let the turbo to cool down? for 30+/- seconds before switchin off the engine...
