Which actually bring me to a question.. Drunk driving is a crime.. what about drunk cycling?

We do have to realise that Tampines allows cyclist to cycle on pavements (or has that been discontinued?). That effectively turns the bicycle to a 'killing' machine.

Hit a cyclist at a pedestrian/cyclist crossing after failing to keep proper lookout also looking for excuse !!

Some more try coloring the story by saying the cyclist was chinaman, blangla etc.

Whoever it is, you are supposed to slow down on pedestrian crossing. You clearly didn't keep a look out.

Or did you see the cyclist but expected him to brake for you to so that you can cross the pedestrian crossing first?

Idiots like you should get banned for a few years.

Can expect this driver also to act blur, come here and complain about cyclist mistake.

Never accept own mistake one.

Cyclist might be in ICU and the driver worried about demerit points and fine only.

Bro, if you look at the posts in this thread, you will find many of us, including myself having close encounters with cyclists. In my own experience above, I mentioned Bangla because they were hidden in the dark or low light areas before the pedestrian crossing, this has nothing to do with FW-hate or racism.

I also don't think you can compare this and the hit and run incident because the bro here stopped, and called police and ambulance. His story is obviously 1 sided but if he's looking for witnesses, I give him the benefit of doubt. I mean, why would anyone hit a guy then ask for witness to testify against him right?

Whatever it is, you are right about everyone having to slow down at pedestrian crossing.

TS hope you get through with peace.

Yup to Nicholas above.

Seriously, Indian man flying through zebra crossing, lau uncle (smoking cig) zipping through zebra crossing.

If I never follow highway code and go across without slowing down markedly, I'd send them airborne.

I am new to driving. I had to stomp the brakes hard to not hit them.

The first was in low light condition and the other brightly lit.

It is just that they move so fast and appear suddenly peripherally.

The legal loophole is really bad.

But COE for bicycle sure joke of the world.

Or is it?

Heard that the police caught and detained the driver, who was drunk. She is having an operation tomorrow to put screws into her spine. Hoping she has a successful recovery.

I am so sorry to have to hijack your thread. But I just had an accident, and I do not have the required number of posts to start a new thread.

Can anyone share their opinion on the following situation:

My car was stationary in a parking lot. I started moving off from the lot slowly.

Another car came from the right. (Let's call this car Toyota.)

I stopped my car. The Toyota stopped as well.

Thinking that the Toyota has stopped for me to move off, I started moving my car out. I was looking for the traffic from the left (it was a congested two lane parking space, just outside a coffee shop).

Unfortunately, the Toyota on my right started moving as well. Meaning it did not stop for me.

My car bumber hit the front left side of the Toyota, causing its number plate to drop off. The number plate was mounted on the front left side of the Toyota. Other than the broken acrylic number plate dropped to the ground, there are no other visible damaged.

Can anyone please advise what I should do? Do I need to make an accident report? I told him to go to a repair shop and assess the damages. Anyone has any idea how much the damages will come to?

Thank you.

I don't understand the bold part. Issit your rear bumper collide with his front bumper's number plate? If that's the case, it's more of he knocked into you isn't it?

After that you 2 didn't come down to discuss what to do? Took photos?
