I brought up this topic of tinting quality because could not find any good quality tinting nowadays... have tried 3 different brands already but still cannot find anything decent... The heat rejection is bad as if sitting inside a taxi where the heat from sun come straight through to your skin! My spouse also felt the same...

Pls share if you know of any good brands out there... Tks!

Turbocharged

I did mine with TintsyCool 7 yrs ago and went back to them again when I changed my ride last Dec.

I took their highest spec package. Price is listed in the various car forums where they are listed.

They can measure your current windscreen/ window spec and you can compare it on site with the film and without.

I've decided that I will no longer buy black car... Black exterior plus black interior plus 35 degree weather is super super hot.. I have to blast my aircon at 4 or 5 of 8 setting at 20 degree during the hot days... Last time same brand solar film, grey dashboard, black exterior and 32-33 degree weather is so much easier..

Why would LTA allow greater reduction of visible light of the front passenger and driver seat windows? It's still awfully bright on a sunny day.

Thermal guard is not bad. Reduce the heat by quite a lot if not mistaken 90% IR rejection for the highest range. But if u want more IR rejection then have to go the illegal way. Cannot pass light test...

Could it be you overdo it?

One tinter told me that tinting is also used in cold countries to trap heat inside car.

My current car has no tinting and I find it's good enough, in fact better than my last car with tinting.

the worst one is absolute tint... their workmanship sucks big time... can see rainbow on the windscreen due to lousy workmanship... didnt know how to apply the right amount of glue...in this case overdone on the glue and didnt dry out properly... the heat rejection is nearly zero...my wifey also pissed off... money down the drain...

In Singapore, from a popular tint shop. [laugh]

After that, never went for my tinting for my current ride 'cos the insulation is good, windscreen is doing a fantastic job in UV protection.
