Kangadrool Supersonic March 30, 2013 Share March 30, 2013 (edited) Never mess with your car electrical and electronic stuff lor. Even for B&B car, installing VS is a big NO NO. This is prevention. Those LED lights installation by questionable mechs on doors, etc is also asking for trouble. You should know how some of these mechs connect your new installed equipement. They just shave off the original wire insulation and wound new wires on top of the exposed wire and tape it with duct tape. Yeobh 4th Gear March 30, 2013 Share March 30, 2013 To start a fire you High Temp/Spark, Fuel and Air. High Temp mainly from Exhaust and Turbocharger Sparks can come from poor electrical connections, shorted battery , leaking spark plug cables, undersize wires, overfuse electrical output etc Fuel - petrol , oil & combustible materials. Air- use of high other gases to charge air intake system The other causes may be due to poorly trained mech , improper repair without following the recommended procedure/ manuals , use of substandard materials and use of common tools to do the work of specially designed tools. Yeobh 4th Gear March 30, 2013 Share March 30, 2013 Yes most of them " time is not enough" the cause are due to poor housekeeping, very poor tool storage and organising and always last meet rush to get the parts and necessary materials - clearly sign of lack of planning. If you have the time , just hang around a shop you know and observe how times the mech will be searching for certain tools per job. In nutshell, they have time management and productivity problems -all these is due to very low capital at hand and lack of training in shop management know how. Yeobh 4th Gear March 30, 2013 Share March 30, 2013 The most likely source is fuel lines and fuel filter connections ( those located in the rear or engine bay). For Fuel injection system the pressure is high - about 7kg/ cm2 and for those who always want to boost the engine HP will also try to boost the fuel pressure resulting in minute leaks in the fuel hoses connections.
