Hey Bro Hondafanodyseey, I am on Caltex and have been using for all my cars. I am using RON95. I tried RON 98 and the mileage is the same. Why pay more for the same mileage. hehehe.... other then the push you get better with RON 98 but over all I want to save on petrol too.

U got go JB pump?

No, i don't. though the fuel is cheap, overall not worth to take the risk. The saving is not substantial like previously.

I went over the weekend to have a look at various 7/8 seater SUVs and I must admit that Sorento is one nice car! The SE told me that if I was really keen on the Sorento ... he could get me a good deal on the last car. Though the new Sorento is out in Jan he did say that it will probably take LTA another 3-4 months to clear so I am expecting May June 2015.

Outlander is pretty poor as compared to the Sorento. Second road seats feel like as if they can fall off at anytime! No air conditioning for 3rd row etc etc so it is out for me!

The one car I am hoping that can probably change my mind about getting the Sorento is the new 7 seater Nissan X-Trail ... not in Singapore yet but looks really nice!

Any idea when it will be released and at what price?

Bro does the Active Eco assist in lower fuel consumption?

Bro ... I was offered the Demo Unit which apparently was going to be on display at Vivo.

I think it may have been sold already!

U worry car get stolen?tot u go cars n cars in jb?

Bro, I mean kena fine for not filling tank up to 3/4 tank. Also, there are lesser ppl going in for petrol. Then business not so good in there and robbery is another concern. It end up risk factor is higher. That is why I will take lesser trip in.

It does not save fuel. It just telling you that you have a better maintain engine over time. this will contribute to reduce the lose of power overtime.

Haha, I was there checking out Sorento and Outlander over the weekend, too. Even took out Outlander for a spin. The ride turned out to be softer than expected. Too bad i wasn't allowed to try it out on an expressway. The main complaints came from wife though. She didn't like the driving position, the huge A-pillar that obstructed the view, and the big gap in height between brake and gas pedals that made it difficult for her to switch her right foot between the two.

Also, as you said, there is no aircon at 2nd and 3rd row. The OMV was also at a pathetic $19K.

One thing is that we've never owned SUV before, so it seems there is a bit of getting used to if we were to switch from a sedan to an SUV. Heard so many times that SUV gives a better visibility, but actually while you do seat higher, you have a bigger blind area around the car because of the long bonnet, bigger A-pillar, etc.

forget about the x-trail. looks nice but the last row is only for midgets. if i remember correctly it is worse than the sorento. I tried the car out in Japan.

Just a matter of getting used to it

SUV/MPV, side mirrors damn big, can see very clearly who is behind u

also sitting higher got a advantage, if in front of u is a car, u can see further then the car infront.

I switch from MPV to sedan, always cannot tell WTH is going on beyond the car in front

Last time, I "look down" on other driver

Now they "look down" on me instead

Sorento is really a nice SUV, so many nice features, got park assist, sunroof etc...

only complain would be the console, they should have put a 7" display with navigation

The new sorento will have this
