Looks more modern *machiam cheapo Aston* and interior is at least more on par with other conti brands now.. Now wondering when it will hit our shores.. anybody knws?? It won't reach our shores probably till end 2014 as the current plant in Genk, Belgium will be close down and production shifted to Valencia, Spain as what was reported in the news over in Europe. Samlimlp 2nd Gear March 24, 2013 Share March 24, 2013 If it is going to take them this long to hit our shores.....by then its specs could be outdataed.... Not to mention, current Mondeo is getting outdated as well....unless Ford and Regent Motors do something to refresh it!
Budgetice 3rd Gear March 24, 2013 Share March 24, 2013 have a go.. sit inside the current mondeo.. im sure ur impression will change
Thaiyotakamli Supersonic March 24, 2013 Share March 24, 2013 Pics? Ford is american and they are known for plastic interior. Is it still the same?
Budgetice 3rd Gear March 24, 2013 Share March 24, 2013 the ford u get in Singapore are the european version.. not many hard plastic.. only in 2012 that they decided to have a single design for all markets.
Samlimlp 2nd Gear March 24, 2013 Share March 24, 2013 have a go.. sit inside the current mondeo.. im sure ur impression will change Already done so and I am not disputing that it was a solid drive. Having said that, just compare its specs against some of its current competitors on our road, for example - Mazda6, Camry 2.5, Volkswagen Passat....to the coming new releases expected this year - Honda Accord, Nissan Teana (Altima)......its not going to make it..... Lazyd Neutral Newbie March 24, 2013 Author Share March 24, 2013 I did took the current Mondeo out for spin.. drive, power is good.. but then, the interior is not so... updated.. I can remember the dials look old school, and there's one ugly plastic cover which i presume is for the key lob but since its start button, its covered up.. back leg room is good even when i push my seats all the way back (am 1.8m).. hopefully the new one can come asap..
I-LOVE-CARS 1st Gear March 24, 2013 Share March 24, 2013 Looks like a larger ford focus, although my guts tells me that Ford might be going for a corporate grill just like Kia's

Watwheels Supersonic March 24, 2013 Share March 24, 2013 I rarely see any Mondeos on the roads. I think largely due to the low omv and the price tag, the premiums you are going to pay for the blue oval badge just put ppl off. Another thing is the competition. There are a lot more sedan options out there. But Ford's MPVs like S-Max & Galaxy are worth looking at coz not many competitiors are built such good MPVs. Holdenutessv Turbocharged March 24, 2013 Share March 24, 2013 (edited) If you want to test drive, don't have to wait till 2014. Go US and try the Ford Fusion, exactly the same just that it's for the American market. http://www.ford.com/cars/fusion/ Edited March 24, 2013 by Holdenutessv
Eforce Neutral Newbie March 24, 2013 Share March 24, 2013 I tried mondeo, Camry and Mazda 6. Mondeo - build is solid, very executive but old fashion interior. Heard that fc is not good Camry - reliable. Feel not as solid as mondeo and m6... And even more old fashion interior... But good resale value. Good fc Mazda 6 - nice interior. Good fc... More technologically advanced .. Love..it... That is why I bought it :) Sorry but I am not bias ... Just stating some my reasons for getting m6. My 2 cents view. No offense
Kiadaw 6th Gear March 24, 2013 Share March 24, 2013 ^ You did not buy an M6, you bought a Mazda 6, big difference leh! But not fair comparsion as the current Mondeo is pretty old lieo. The new one however are yummy.
Thaiyotakamli Supersonic March 24, 2013 Share March 24, 2013 Looks like a larger ford focus, although my guts tells me that Ford might be going for a corporate grill just like Kia's front headlight like Audi A6, from side light tail like XF but overall nice design, including the interior
Drainwater 1st Gear March 24, 2013 Share March 24, 2013 Did you check with the SE on the new Mondeo? Looks like Regent is clearing the old Mondeo, are they anticipating the new Mondeo?
R1985 Clutched March 24, 2013 Share March 24, 2013 Did you check with the SE on the new Mondeo? Looks like Regent is clearing the old Mondeo, are they anticipating the new Mondeo? New mondeo only coming in 2015. Emailed the SE 2mths back. Will be produced in their new factory in Spain. Currently still setting up their factory. Offered me the currently mondeo at abt 150k but is 2012 batch. Think only a handful left. ↡ Advertisement
