LookingBusy Neutral Newbie March 23, 2013 Share March 23, 2013 Anyone sent in their car for a major servicing there before, like change of engine oil, parts etc etc? I know this shop specialised in tyres and i have changed mine there just a few days ago which was a pretty good experience. Thought of letting them service my car at the same time while doing rotation 2 months later as the boss seems sincere and honest. Need some reviews first if possible ↡ Advertisement
159er 5th Gear March 23, 2013 Share March 23, 2013 My car(JDM Accord) is serviced by them. So far no issue with them and has been Ah Ho customer since his time at Hankook. 80k major servicing coming up and will be going back there again. Bought my own fuel filter and other parts required for this major servicing though.
LookingBusy Neutral Newbie March 24, 2013 Author Share March 24, 2013 I see. How much do they typically charge? Do they follow a package or something?
Eviltrap 2nd Gear March 24, 2013 Share March 24, 2013 I did my 60K servicing with them before. My previous servicing experiences were that they will do all the checks, inclusive of oil change, etc. But at Li Hong, they only did an oil change, filter change and advised me to change my spark plugs despite me telling them it was only 10K mileage and 6 months old. They checked my brake pads only after I asked them. Not impressed with their servicing, hence never went back again.
159er 5th Gear March 26, 2013 Share March 26, 2013 I see. How much do they typically charge? Do they follow a package or something? They dont really follow any servicing manual. Charges are based on labour and parts (engine oil, oil filter, sparks) used. I usually paid around $25 for oil change with other misc labour fees. Please bear in mind their core business is still on Tyre and servicing is like a sideline to them. You need to be aware of what needs to be change/done to your ride if you wants to patronise them. They will only perform the basic servicing on your car and any others job will need you the owner to tell them. I am comfortable with this but that doesnt apply to all. ↡ Advertisement
