Roh96 6th Gear October 16, 2013 Share October 16, 2013 Look so much better than previous gen. On 3/21/2013 at 5:36 AM, Picnic06 said: Only the COE thats keep the price of QQ high ..... If COE drops to $10,000/-, the car should be hovering around $40k, I will pay 50% DP for QQ ..... Afterall, I only drive from pount A to point B ... When COE was low, no one wanted to buy china car. When COE was high, again no one wanted to buy China car. In conclusion, China car is hard to sell in Sg.

When COE was low a few years back, Chery and Geely had great sales (In their perpective though), Chery got around 380 sales for the year 2007 or 2008....cant remember. There were lots of QQ and T11 sold.
13177 Hypersonic October 16, 2013 Share October 16, 2013 Agreed, when coe was low, many people buy china cars, esp QQ. But whether coe is high or low now, seems like many QQ have disappeared from the road.
Calford 2nd Gear October 16, 2013 Share October 16, 2013 Well the design has improved a lot and the quality too. There are less complained in the China car forum now days. The local car review also admit that quality and design is so much better than 5 years ago. However at the moment they are still more focus in China market. Thing is changing slowly though. Proton_neutron 1st Gear October 17, 2013 Share October 17, 2013 Better brands like Haval and BAIC are coming out with good and stylish in-house designs as well as engines. They are no more copying the used engines found in old Japanese cars. Haval H9 coming out next year to rival the Toyota LandCruiser. Will come with a 2.0 Turbo 218bhp 324Nm 6AT or 3.0V6 Turbo with 333bhp and 480Nm 8AT engine. Isn't that impressive spec? But the price from RMB 200,000+++ (SGD 40k onwards) is also mighty. Calford 2nd Gear October 27, 2013 Share October 27, 2013 Don't think the new models from Chery is that bad. If you visit the China car forum, the user review is quite good.

Baal Supersonic December 16, 2013 Share December 16, 2013 Yea, rear looks like the 107. But if they can match up to the Koreans, just like how the "Andriod" brand commmunist smartphones are like & have similar OMV ratios, can consider. But the coe kills it. Double edged sword. ( no katana) The lower the omv, the more the cost of COE "glows". On 12/13/2013 at 3:43 AM, Pocus said: Yup! It's true. My china friends say so too. Even if not for the 7dsg, uber SS traffic will cause TC petrol engines to overheat easily? ↡ Advertisement
