Kelfinity 1st Gear March 21, 2013 Share March 21, 2013 As above. Say if AD provides a service to pick up OPC cars for servicing from owners home. Can they use trade plate on the car during peak hour pick up so that owner doesnt have to pay for e licence? Question is what if the car passes a ERP gantry? Gantry wouldnt know if a trade plate is used right? Will kena or kong? ↡ Advertisement

Anyway tradeplate should only be used for troubleshooting/test drive within the vicinity of the workshop, not to suka suka travel the whole island. The workshop has no jurisdiction on whether you are entitled to that free journey or not, regardless trade-plate or not. If kena, I hope the workshop with help to act as an alibi(even that is 50 50 subjective to LTA's decision) or help you pay. A responsible workshop would have just reemburse you $20. I know a few big workshops doing it... Edited March 21, 2013 by Pocus
