LTA to install CCTV to deter illegal parking

Dream on... these cameras are not only use to catch illegal parking.

 

I got a summon by alighting someone in zigzag line and was also pick up by this camera.

 

Keanna 120 and 3 demerit points. So question now is what else are they catching using the cameras.....

if double, then it's your fault and it's not wrong for them to fine you accordingly.

They did not install one at South Bridge Road beginning at junction of South Bridge Rd and Upper Cross St all the way to Sri Maniam Temple.

 

Bus lane and double yellow line - and still have people park there during bus lane hours. Blocks the flow of the traffic, esp at peak hours. All those illegally parking there should be booked and fined.

I complained the Sengkang kopitiam (opp compass point) roadside parking.

 

Till now, they haven't take any action.

single white zigzag line. Appeal twice telling them this is my first offence after 8 yrs driving and i did not endanger nor cause traffic jam.

 

They still reject the appeal without any reason. Really wonder what is theier basis of appeal and professionalism in doing it.

ah yes... the single white zig-zag to indicate pedestrian crossing. I made that mistake a couple of years ago near Battery Rd...

 

Was stopped there for 30 secs trying to catch my dad's attention... he was super blur that day. Anyway... realised he is looking the wrong way so went away and picked him up further down.

 

Still got a summon. Appealed that I was only being filial and my 70 yr old dad was super lost and they let me go. Never made that mistake again.

That situation is epic. Right by filter lane, narrow road, still got people hack care and park there. Selfishness and poor upbringing in full glorious display.

Either way, i dont think they know what is appeal. First appeal rejected without any reason. Ask me to reappeal and the 2nd appeal they come back with a letter stating that very dangerous to stop there may endanger pedestrians and other motorists. Very general reason without looking on a case to case basis.

 

Probably new CCTV installed need to recover cost. So think not to waste too much time on this case and move on.

I commented though the sign shown is PArking enforcement camera, they are also catching all type of fines. Best is to always get out of sight from these camera. I commented though the sign shown is PArking enforcement camera, they are also catching all type of fines. Best is to always get out of sight from these camera. Nah. I admit my mistake and also willing to pay. I dont waste my time blaming the system.

Remember i am just a first offender after 8 yrs plus of driving so i no need to worry much of these summon as i am pretty much of a safety driver.

 

This is just to tell others dont think that the CCTV is only to curb illegal parking. Last time u need an enforcer to be there to summon you. Now they can use CCTV to catch any fine. That supposed will include those highway monitoring camera too.....

 

So lessons learnt is more digital eyes are watching on road users now.....think twice if u want to do something illlegal...
