OK, the saga continue on December 18, 2015

yahoo news: 'The Force Awakens': new 'Star Wars' film has title

"Star Wars" fans were sent into a frenzy as studio giant Disney revealed the title of the iconic franchise's seventh episode -- "The Force Awakens" -- and said filming was over.

"The Force Awakens" immediately shot to the top of trending topics on Twitter after Walt Disney Pictures and the official "Star Wars" account released the much-anticipated title.

"'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' has completed principal photography," the tweets said, with the title set in the franchise's retro typeface in yellow and white against a background of stars.

The film will now require months of post-production before its worldwide release scheduled for December 18, 2015.

It is directed by J.J. Abrams, one of Hollywood's A-list directors who recently oversaw the successful rebooting of the "Star Trek"

franchise.

Speculation about what the title means centers on it being a follow-up to "The Return of the Jedi" -- in which Luke Skywalker was left as the only known Jedi Knight holder of the Force, with no rivals from the "dark side" Sith camp.

Fan sites wonder if "The Force Awakens" refers to both the light side and dark side, Jedis and Siths.

"If you want to make Star Wars movies every year for the foreseeable future, you can’t just have one Jedi and no Sith, right?" asks a blogger at slashfilm.com.

"The Force Awakens likely refers to more people becoming one with the Force, on both the good side and Dark Side," he wrote.

See lah, gave him PG card but took away his Millennium Falcon, he was forced to fly a WWII plane & now this:

Harrison Ford Reported Fair After Plane Crash

By Andrew Blankstein and Hasani Gittens

Actor Harrison Ford Injured After Plane Crashes Into Golf Course

Actor Harrison Ford was injured Thursday when a vintage World War II training plane he was piloting crash landed on a California golf course.

The actor, who was conscious and breathing when rescue crews reached him, was stabilized and taken to a hospital, where he was in fair to moderate condition, authorities said. Sources said he sustained cuts to his head. There was no word on other injuries or what caused the plane to crash about 2:20 p.m. (5:20 p.m. ET). It appeared he was flying solo.

"We are very thankful that the passenger had [only] very moderate injuries," Los Angeles Assistant Fire Chief Patrick Butler said.

The plane clipped some tree branches and crashed on the golf course shortly after takeoff from Santa Monica Airport, Butler said. An eyewitness, Howard Teba, an employee at Penmar Golf Course, said he put a blanket under Ford's hip.

"There was blood all over his face," Teba said. "Two very fine doctors were treating him, taking good care of him."

Mike Bonin, a Los Angeles City Council member, agreed, telling NBC Los Angeles: "Thank God that this incident happened on a golf course where there is a relatively open space."

Bonis has lobbied to close the airport as being inadequate. "This airport is remarkably close to residential areas and flight schools, which is very concerning," he said.

An avid flyer of both planes and helicopters, Ford was in a bad crash of a Bell chopper in 1999 Santa Clara, California. In 2008, he told National Geographic, "Well, there was a mechanical failure while we were practicing power recovery autorotations. It was more or less a hard landing. Luckily, I was with another aviation professional and neither of us was hurt — and both of us are still flying."

The National Transportation Safety Board said it was sending an investigator.

Harrison Ford 'battered but okay' after LA plane crash

The 72-year-old "Indiana Jones" and "Star Wars" actor suffered multiple gashes to his head and was left bleeding after the crash of the vintage two-seater plane, according to the TMZ celebrity website.

LOS ANGELES: Hollywood star Harrison Ford was injured on Thursday (Mar 6) when the small plane he was flying suffered engine failure and crash-landed on a golf course outside Los Angeles, officials said.

The 72-year-old "Indiana Jones" and "Star Wars" actor suffered multiple gashes to his head and was left bleeding after the crash of the vintage two-seater plane, according to the TMZ celebrity website, publishing a picture of the downed aircraft, its nose cone ripped open.

His son tweeted that Ford was "battered, but okay!"

The striking yellow-silver plane had just taken off from Santa Monica Airport. In audio with air traffic control obtained by AFP, Ford can be heard saying, in an urgent voice: "Engine failure," before requesting "immediate return" to the airport.

A Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman, who did not identify Harrison, initially said the pilot was critically injured, but that was later changed to moderately hurt.

"When we arrived on scene we had a small aircraft that was down on Penmar Golf Course, near the Santa Monica Airport," spokesman Erik Scott told AFP, recounting the early afternoon crash at the golf course in Venice, southwest of Los Angeles.

There was only one person in the plane, he said, declining to give a name, citing privacy issues.

Another LAFD spokesman, Patrick Butler, speaking at the scene, described the injuries as "fair to moderate". "The patient left the scene conscious and breathing," said Butler.

The KTLA television station cited witnesses as saying Ford was helped out of the plane by bystanders on the golf course, and that he could use his legs. It showed video footage of the aircraft, which gashed a stretch of grass on the golf course before coming to a halt the right way up.

The crash is expected to be investigated by the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), said the LAFD spokesman Scott.

EXPERIENCED PILOT

The plane involved is a Ryan Aeronautical ST3KR, the NTSB said in a tweet. The aircraft, used in training in World War II, flies in the mostly yellow colours of the US Army Air Corps.

Ford, who was photographed with the plane at Santa Monica Airport just a few days ago, is known in the US aviation community as an enthusiastic pilot.

He took his first flying lessons in college, gave up due to lack of money, but got back into it after becoming an established film star. He has been the owner of several planes, from two-seat bush aircraft to corporate jets.

Tom Haines of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA), who has flown with Ford, told CNN the actor was "a very skilled pilot and very safety conscious," describing him as "meticulous."

Last June, Ford broke his leg on the set of the new "Star Wars" movie at Pinewood Studios outside London. Filming began in May last year on the new episode of the iconic franchise, directed by blockbuster filmmaker J J Abrams.

Ford is back as smuggler Han Solo, Mark Hamill will return as Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker and Carrie Fisher, 57, reprises the role of Princess Leia.

The veteran actor remains one of the biggest names in Hollywood, in a glittering career stretching back decades.

As well as the "Star Wars" and "Indiana Jones" movies, he has had a string of movie hits - and misses - from the acclaimed "Witness" and "The Fugitive" to the panned "Hollywood Homicide" and "Random Hearts".
