This maybe a quite stupid question but...I changed to City Gas pipe supply after the renovation of our kitchen and now have a spare gas cylinder. Not sure though of how to dispose of it will it be possible or sell it back to Union or Solar Gas?

I think they may refund u $10 or something. Just find the Union gas distributor around your area.

Should be more than that 'cos the delivery guy told me if refund the whole tank would pocket me at least $17. Mine was fr Union though.

Mine was they collected a deposit for the very first tank, that's why got a refund if I were to return it.

A cooking gas cylinder exploded at a house in Gurun, Kedah this evening, killing a man and a girl and badly injuring a woman. Firemen, who were summoned at 4.57 pm, found the terrace house in Taman Ria Mesra on fire as they arrived there at 5.13 pm, said a spokesman of the Kedah Fire and Rescue Department. The 14 firemen, from the Guar Chempedak, Yan and Sungai Petani fire and rescue stations, brought the blaze under control at 5.20 pm, he said.

 

"The explosion damaged the structure of the house. Eight houses nearby were also affected," he said when contacted.
