F1 2013 starts

He change tyre for 2nd pit stop 3 lap earlier than alonso and Nico Hulkenberg

It prove to be a right decision as due to the tyre strategy, Kimi managed to gain advantage of lap time and overtake them when they pit 3 stop later.

Thereafter, he is in luck due to Nico Rosberg front right tyre incident which activate safety car and he jumped from 6th to 3rd due to others all jump in for pit stop when safety car deployed. After which, when the race restarted after safety car was in, kimi managed to overtake Groasjean 2 laps later at after turn 2.

From than on, he was 2nd all the way to chequered flag.

yep. Did you catch the part where Grosjean was not happy abt being overtaken by Kimi after he (Grosjean) made a mistake a few laps after the 2nd SC restart? If I did not hear wrongly, apparently Grosjean then asked for team orders to be given to Kimi to give back P2 to Grosjean LOL. Fortunately Eric Boulier simply said Grosjean made an error and it's part of his learning curve wahaha

 

eh I thot the front right tyre incident was Segio Perez? Nico's issue was his front nose drop while overtaking Hammie.

 

oh and Webber damn suay again. Even Christian Horner said he dunno what Webber did in a previous life.... haiz

Its good that the tv cameras wisely and largely ignored finger-man and focused on activities of other drivers who seemed having exciting fights on track for positions with overtaking attempts etc. Otherwise it will be boring if the cameras just follow a single car in front. Maybe soon the sponsors will put more decals on cars which provide excitements than those running as if they are lone rangers

Sorry to bring up past posts, I watched the Korean gp, and I'm sure Grosjean made a mistake that allowed kimi to overtake, every source confirms that, but I don't think Grosjean wanted kimi to give him the position back from team orders. What I do rmb hearing was the team telling him 'to go get that place back' and Grosjean replying 'no I cannot do that, can I'. Well I admit I may be wrong. But one thing is for sure, lotus Renault wants Grosjean to go all out against kimi now, to prove to investors and sponsors the team still has someone who can beat kimi, so kimi leaving for Ferrari won't be too much of a loss to the team. I started supporting kimi since he returned, but ever sg gp I support Grosjean. But most impt is that I love F1!! =)

Oh you're right. Not sure if he was hoping for team orders or outright asking for team orders, I feel it's wrong. No matter if I support him, wrong means wrong, and I'm glad the team didn't carry out such tactics. Mayb Grosjean felt his car is in a better condition but that is no reason to do it. It happened with schumi and barrichello in the past and I felt it stained the sport.

even with alonso + kimi ... if ferrari car cannot make it ... there is no way to overtake vettel

Next year, its between Alonso vs Kimi and I won't be bother whether Vettel gets another driver world champ or not!!

that said, new engines nxt year, vettel might be facing his toughest challenge soon. and the Ferrari engine I feel might be a challenge for their engineers, I have no impression of a Ferrari 1.6l engine, but it'll probably have the highest power to cc ratio in Ferrari's history! but yea, hope nxt year the competition will be closer

the bigger the team's budget, the better chance the team will have although this is not necessarily a given
