Got a friend in distress when her 'keyless' sensor was inside her handbag and at the rear seat. She came out of the car and closed the driver's door and it auto lock. [:(]

No spare sensor as she bought the car from 2nd hand dealer. Anyone know any method to open the door. Breaking the window will be the last resort.

Model is Nissan 'March' ... -_-

...... something is very wrong when most of the keyless does not lock when the sensor is inside the car or within 1.5m of the car..may can call TC and ask for advise.

That's why cars should not autolock when the sensor is still in the car. Makes no sense. They should design it such that it locks when the sensor is away from the car.

Yeah, agree with you....if i left my car key in the car...i cant lock my car at all...this is a safety feature...so strange to be able to lock a car with the sensor in the car...i cant lock the car if i did not turn off my engine unless i use the car key to do that...which is a good feature esp when i jus need to leave the engine running for less than a min to grab something fast...

how can it be? all my prev cars using keyless entry and all cant lock if there is a key inside. Also for E250 sedan if u put the key inside boot, u close and lock the boot, they wont do so

My car does not lock itself, neither will I be able to lock the car, as long as the keyless transmitter is still inside the car. Don't ask me how it works, but for my car, it works like that.

cannot lock the car at all when you inside? that's dangerous too.. especially if you got kids

If I'm inside the car together with the transmitter, I can lock the car from the inside.

What I mean is, when the engine is off and the transmitter is inside the car, I will not be able to lock the car from outside.

but if key is inside car

when you drive off reaching more han 15km/h,

the car doors automatically lock

i had once when my keyless go refused to let me lock my doors

resetting the master switch - no use

need to drive with all passengers including myself

holding to the door to keep the door close

electronics are handy and useful if they work

but we all expect them to fail sooner than later

Erm, I never tried it before. My remote transmitter comes with car key. Maybe I'll try it later.

So you mean locking the car doors when engine and aircon is running with people inside right?

I guess there is a problem on her car, my advise is better ask your friends to send her car back to TC to clarify the error. By right, it shld not have this type of problem.

My friends also driving a march, he cant lock the car if the key is inside.
