I dun think all hv. Only some hv a layer of rough material to give a grinding sound when pads almost gone. Some cars hv a warning light on dash wil come on also. Thats why ty design pads wh grinding sound to frighten drivers to quickly go change pads. Maybe thats why u needed change yr rotors b4. Briansoh 1st Gear March 10, 2013 Share March 10, 2013 Just wait for the warning lights to come on. Once the sensor in the pad hits the disc, it meas you have to change.
