Yes you are correct.

If Zhongshan area I always stay in Dandy boutique hotel or Mai hotel.

If taipei main station would like Master inn and several apartment above Qsquare forgot the name liao or city inn also pretty ok.

In fact I just came back last week, also went to the zoo entrance fee only Twn 60 can see panda somemore.

Billcoke, you can also consider Tango Hotel, located directly above Zhongshan station (one station away from Taipei station). The hotel service is top notch and very modern and popular with Singaporeans. Even the bathtub has its own TV ! Shopping malls all around with plenty of restaurants, basement foodcourts and supermarkets. Easy access to everywhere once you walk out and pop into the station.

Power Hotel, stayed once, good food, great service, high tech room

My last stay was at the Howard Plaza Hotel and we got a family room with 2 queen size beds as we have 3 adults and 1 child.

It's about 5-10 mins walk to the nearest MRT station.

Can't remember which hotel I stayed but I remembered the hotel is very near 忠孝敦化 station. Really missed going Taiwan. I remembered throughout the whole trip I never have any soft drink at all. It's either desserts or fruit juice or their milk teas. And keep eating and trying out those street stalls food whenever I can.
