Seoul...

Just came back in Dec....I think if you go in Oct, it would be Autumn? So it would be nice too.

Transportation is easy via their trains and not as costly as Japan.

Personally I don't really like the Namdemum and Dongdaemum, but I like the buzz in MyeongDong, Ehwa Female Uni station(first place to go for shopping because it is the cheapest - i feel), Hongkik Uni Station.

The accomodation is cheap too as compared to Japan..I choose love motel (very decent love motel) and probably similar to a normal 3 star hotel in HK at SGD 120 for a 3 beds in a room + 1 jacuzzi and free snacks... or you can choose to go stay in their traditional Hanook.

You can choose to stay near Lotte World as there a lot of shuttle buses that pick up passengers from there to destination such as SKI resorts, Nami Island etc...

I intend to go back there again end of this year.... [:p] because I love the food....

Actually I was very lucky when I was in Nami in early dec...wasn't supposed to snow during that period but due to a storm..I managed to see Nami island before and after snow...within a short span of 1 hour..the whole island was covered with snow..so we had some before and after shots...

They had their bonfire in diffferent area to keep people warm....with woods crackling and the fire burning...

Ehwa Uni gate.... [gorgeous] I more interested in the shopping la... [laugh]

I really like their street food..especially when the temperature drops below 0...eating the fish cake and the soup...

Yes, to each his own.... As long as he is happy, good enough.

After all, the experience of others' culture, heritage etc should make a person develope a broader view of things, and also acceptance or tolerance of others' behaviors or priorities which are not the same as his own. :D. Eg those who truly like the experience of others' cultures etc, should accept the others who like shopping or eating.

Be careful about turning on the TV if you stay in a love motel.

My company sent me to Seoul for 2 weeks and they put me in a love motel.

I switched on the TV and flip a few channels looking for an English station

and I was shocked to find porn on TV!

I was so shocked I called the front desk to ask if all the TV movies were free

or I had to pay?

I was very relieve when they told me its free. Since its my first time to see Korean

porn, I left the TV on all night.

I didn't know these things happen in other cultures but I try to have an open mind

and learn to openly appreciate other cultures.

I stayed at the Benhur hotel in July 2008.

13-18, Yoido-dong, Yeongdungpo-gu, Yeouido, Seoul.

My company sent me again to Seoul in 2009 and I wanted to stay in that hotel again

for obvious reasons but I was told that hotel had been struck off my company

approved hotel list.

HR told me my boss instigated the removal of this hotel. I asked him and he told me

the exciting hotel "movies" made him call for the 40,000 won massage which led to

extra healthy finishing massage costing an extra US $200!

I tried my best to get this my mostest favourite in the whole world. Not only for the free movies

but the extra large room, king size bed, jacuzzi, steam bath, free shampoo, hair spray, toiletries

free drinks, remote control everything and the two lovely receptionists etc

But sadly I was rudely refused and had to stay in some poxxy Best Western place which I did

not enjoy at all.

I will never forget this lovely hotel and my wonderful 2 weeks in Seoul.

Did they give you a big discount?

If I checked into a love motel and the porn machine broke down,

I would be so disappointed I would write to the love hotel association

of Korea to have them stuck off the love motel list.

What kind of half indecent love motel dun show porn?

Not so innocent consumers should not be taken advantage like this!

I am all for consumer protection, actually I am all for all kinds of protection!

I am not the owner or shareholder of the Benhur hotel just an extremely satisfied customer.
