there's a pretty nice hill lookout just before apollo bay. park then walk up a slope.

You need a long exposure mode with a tripod and dampened shutter to eliminate shake almost completely... astrophotography can be very technical...

So did you eat at the Apollo Bay Fisherman Co-op? And planning to do some koala bear hunting after this? The following spot is famous and personally spotted a few in my recent trip.

Plan for the Fisherman Co op on Tuesday. 

Koala hunting done. Basically I drive all the way up and hunt around.

That is the difficult part.  The are not moving and stay how on the branch. Not easy to spot it.
