Yeobh 4th Gear February 28, 2013 Author Share February 28, 2013 (edited) No in Sarawak Kuching The twin post lifting arm rubber pads may have wore out or the mech did not position the arm pads at the correct lifting points Edited February 28, 2013 by Yeobh

Watwheels Supersonic February 28, 2013 Share February 28, 2013 Looks more like the mech did not lock the swivel arm on one/both of the lifting arms.
Yeobh 4th Gear February 28, 2013 Author Share February 28, 2013 If the failure is caused by the poorly maintained twin post lift, then the shop owner is 100% responsible. If it's due to poor work attitude, offcourse the mech will get the walking certificate.
Yeobh 4th Gear February 28, 2013 Author Share February 28, 2013 Most of the well designed twin post lifts have auto arm locking .

WTF 4th Gear February 28, 2013 Share February 28, 2013 anyway it's really suay for the owner as it looks to me that the car will be spending a few days more in the workshop.......and in a place like Kuching that could be a pain where car is rather useful...... Yeobh 4th Gear March 1, 2013 Author Share March 1, 2013 During the late 70's when vehicle lifts were used in service stations, most of the time the older timers will place a 200litre oil drum directly under the car as a safety measure. They don't trust the lift fail safe features such as dead man electric control, hydraulic flow check valve restrictor and mechanical auto lock. Yeobh 4th Gear March 1, 2013 Author Share March 1, 2013 That's why most mech in Japan insists on wearing hard hat when doing undercarriage inspection / works. In Spore if you wear such safety gears, yr peers will think that you are a C C or Kia C type.
