Accident on Farrer road before Empress road

1. Experienced the jam around 6pm yesterday along Commonwealth Ave towards city near North Buona Vista Rd:

2. Only managed to reach the SPC petrol kiosk 500m away after 5mins and realised an accident along Farrer Rd:

3. More than 10mins later managed to travel another 500m after the petrol kiosk to see an apparent collision between a cab and a tipper:

4. Wanted to turn into Queensway towards Farrer Rd but [:(] :

5. Bo bian head towards Alexandra Rd then via CTE instead.

 

Was late over an hour to pick up my gal who was chased out of the school and into the guard house in the rain... [:(]

Haha bro at least i was lucky, managed to pick up my girl and get caught in the jam.

was really very terrible was taking like about 5-7 mins to move 1 metre.

there was another accident right after holland flyover towards holland v, so both perpendicular roads jammed at same time... lol... i was stuck there for abt 15mins only... the biker accident side jam until dam long siah...

Was in fear that she would be kicked out of the school care after 6:30pm in the rain [:(]

 

And CTE was not much better with very heavy traffic as well:

I don't think childcare will be so heartless to chase the kid out, next time you can try calling tell them that you caught in the jam ask if the

teacher can accompany your child a little while more. last time i used to do that, but if we keep going late will kena complain hahahaaa

This was the first time I was so late after 3 years so not sure what was the procedure.

 

Panic liao called almost anyone other Obama but still could get through the after school care....

 

Anyway we OT liao.

 

Understand the accident along Farrer Rd was a fatal one and hope the rider R.I.P.

read his fren's FB....seem like he just came out and this is his first job.

 

its sad he wasnt given a 2nd chance to lead his life.

Ya read the news today in the straits times. Really saddening [:(] . Btw the jam yesterday was really bad. I was at queesway shopping centre around 6.30 and already the jam started there and extended all the way to alexandra.

I was from Clementi towards Holland / C'wealth Ave / Bt Merah and could'nt siam as AYE also jam.....

It was his first day at work, and tragically, it proved to be his last. Mr Lim Poh Wah, 29, was delivering documents when he fell off his motorbike after a near collision with a taxi. A black Volvo then ran over him.

 

Mr Lim was hit near the Farrer Road Market bus stop yesterday (Feb 25).

 

He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Singapore Civil Defence Officers.

 

The driver of the Volvo, a woman who looked to be in her 40s, declined to comment. She looked visibly shaken and was dabbing her tears with a tissue. She was overheard telling SCDF officers: "It happened too fast and I couldn't stop."
