It is not easy to report illegal parking, especially motorcycle parked along pavement next to building and roads.

 

Somehow LTA sub contract out for some areas only. these motorcycles took up spaces meant for pedestrians and not also shared with bicycle. instead of having to fill so much things, a simple call and they dispatch their sub contractors to check would be ideal.

Not easy to report illegal parking for all vehicles lo, most of the time they take very long time to come or never come at all.

I called several times but got no one come down leh...

My hdb has limited parking and half are red lots for season parking. However, there are many cars that are not season parking parked at our lots

Very sure cause I gave the exact location (between blk what and what) and I waited there HAHAHA.

To me it’s a waste of time. The summons will

Never go thru. Just one statement from the president security detail. Security reasons which is why we park this way! It’s the same in every country for VIPs. Why the need to kick up a fuss.

I better than you...I walk straight into a NPP just right in front of the illegal parking.

 

The officer say...sir I will call the TP department...

 

I waited waited... 30 and not later..still no sight of TP..

VIPs' security officers reminded to comply with traffic rules

It said an LTA enforcement officer was on a routine patrol in Prinsep Street at 4.15pm on Wednesday when he saw two vehicles waiting at a stretch marked with double yellow lines. The offence of parking a vehicle where there are unbroken double yellow lines can draw a fine of at least $70.

 

The LTA officer approached one of the vehicles to ask the driver to move the vehicle, in line with LTA's approach in enforcing this regulation, said the statement.

The driver told the officer he was there to pick up the President. During the course of their conversation, she arrived and was ferried away without a summons being issued.

SecCom provides security protection for the President and other senior political leaders.

The joint statement said: "As part of the security protection operations, the vehicle convoy is to be positioned close to the event location in compliance with traffic rules, to facilitate swift evacuation during contingencies.

"In this case, the SecCom ground commander had made a decision for the convoy to wait there for the President as there were no street-side parking spaces available in the immediate vicinity which would have allowed the convoy to go quickly to the scene in the event of an emergency.

"The police have reviewed this incident with LTA. SecCom officers have been reminded to park the convoy in compliance with traffic rules without compromising their mission to ensure the safety and security of those they are escorting."

all these confirm certis officer "don't know" how to die. if they are local voting Singaporeans they will not be "brave" to issue Summons.

 

I suspect they are more likely FTs.

 

 

 

Many years ago, I heard in JB, citizen drive car zoom pass sultan or sultan's relative car. The citizen was stop and was slapped for doing that.

 

Luckily these kind of things don't happen here.
