I guess that’s why they charge so much for their 98 petrol ..

Idling while children attending class? I was also quite surprised when I saw the numbers on screen. I used to drive the 1.8L, can get about 600km full tank, very fuel  efficient

please tell me she/no one sits in their cars and left it running for 1-2 hours for a lesson to end. RIP engine

Driving in Thailand now from airport to Khao Kho.

RON 95 is around less than $1.80.

If u r driving a rented car, just pump gashol 91, some cars can pump e85 or e20 definitely cheaper but your own SG car then maybe 95.

The video mentioned cleaning the fuel injection system- how do we do it? At a workshop?

yes some workshop will have a machine to test the fuel injector flow rate and clean it at the same time.

btw petrol is already a very good solvent... msia workshop use ron95 to clean oil stain 😄

for my car, i'm more concerned abt fuel injectors failing (less flow than the others or uneven spray pattern) rather than clogging up.

285 Km per tank is after She switched off Engine between Waiting, before that 200Km per Tank.

That's still a terrible range for that car.🙁

thai gasohol 91 and gasohol 95 not much difference in price.

i usually pump gasohol 95 in my SG car when i'm there.  Pure gasoline 95 (they call it benzine) is quite a bit more expensive and often hard to find in rural areas

i think thai local rental car can pump E20. Not all can take E85. But with higher ethanol content, fuel mileage also drops so not really much cost saving. in fact gotta waste time to go petrol station if range drops significantly.

Whether e85 or e20 depends on cars. I used to drive accord in BKK... I will go for e20 but no different in mileage vs gashol 95. Have yet to try e85. The best is still diesel when I drove my fortuner...less than 2000thb to reach Chiang Mai from Bkk. My record in Thailand was driving 16 hrs, Bkk to HDY.

any idea what type of vehicle usually pumps E85 there? so far i've only seen one old motorcycle pump that. Very intriguing.

The selphy is struggling with don't know what was filled up then.

Felt slightly better after I emptied the tank and is on RON 95 now.

Will pump E85 upon return. 🤭

Nissan cvt is seriously its  weak link. All noise and no motion.

Guess not many cars, I do not keep track of which car can use e85. :D Read too much ethanol is bad for engine.
