I think he listed the workshops in the order of his preference. Hahaha.

Yeah.. I think subconsciously I did.

EA has to be there, for political reasons [laugh]

Yah.. I remember my jap cars' oil filters cost like $12-15 only.

There's an oem brand, yellow and green box.. I think selling for like $18

Yellow and green should be Mann Filter.

I am hoping that when the Manual Brera 3.2 is up for sale, I am ready for it.

or I could wait for 4C, though I think that is for a new generation of Alfisti.

At 16k depreciation, is the price reasonable considering the COE is so low?

Tanly selling a brand, technotec I think. Yellow and green box too, cost just $6 or $7 for 147. Mann should cost more, read about it, seems pretty highly rated.

Don't remember it to be Mann.. I saw it at AS also. Can't remember the exact name but I used it before.

ok.. while waiting for toey to swing by ... i have some issues with the car now, see if you guys can make out what it is.

1. At idle, the engine purr isnt constant.. it is lie : drom drom drom drom

2. Rather high pitch whirling sound from the engine bay, sounds like its near the driver side, behind the steering rack, near the front right wheel housing. When i switch off the engine, the whirl continues for a split second and slows down.. (sounds like it is due to some shaft slowing down as engine is killed)

3. When engine is running.. there is a loud hissing also.. sounds like gas escaping

4. No CEL

5. Car drives ok.. though i do feel some slight wobble at low speed.

Sounds like a vacuum hose along air intake side leak. The leak is after the MAF. So idling is not smooth. Or maybe PV valve leak.

Do the "pull out the dipstick" trick see if the howling stops .. think now really is the PCV diaphragm tear. I drove around with the noise for 1 month+ until the revs started to go oscillate between 1000-4000rpms on its own, then I stopped driving ..

The diaphragm is under the cap indicated below, $150 fix ..
