Female drivers are more careful because they obey the rules and regulations, but not with the accident on the video

 

 

Some women drivers have a seperate set of rules n regulations all of their own, made up by themselves for themselves.

 

I see woman driving, I try to stay far away.

 

But I do know many women drivers who r very good n safe drivers. [drivingcar]

Time : 0947 hrs

 

Incident Venue : Sims Way , heading to PIE / TUAS

 

Vehicle Number of Other party : SJX5341*

 

At 0947 hrs, I stopped for the person to cross the road and the driver horned me for doing so. He was not happy about my slow driving and sped ahead and slammed his brakes on the downramp -, causing me to swerve - This is a really really life-threatening - if there were cars behind me, it would be catastrophic. . I hope the Traffic Police will take serious action against this driver.

 

 

 

ok.....what you should do to get justice is send the video to make a police report to any police station.

 

they will send the report and video to TP for follow up.

 

as there is evident very likely he will be apprehended and justice done.

please send the video to TP to report such errant drivers..as long as everyone with in-car video keep giving feedbacks..the roads might just become a safer place for all [nod]

Nothing wrong with you stopping at the pedestrian crossing; in fact, the pedestrian was also very decent to hurry across.

 

The only thing I can see the guy *may* have been unhappy about is the way you took the merge lanes. Maybe he was in a hurry, so he horned you the first time out of impatience. Sensing his hurry, you could have let him overtake during the merge, but you chose to straddle (at least that's the way it looks in the video). That may be why he buay song and jammed brake on you.

 

Either way, jamming brake is a strict no-no. I've been in life or death hurries before and I've driven without "giving chance". I can assure you that *noone* in a *genuine* hurry can even think about "playing" with another driver - e.g jamming brake, etc. A person in a real hurry will just curse the other guy and go on his way as quickly as possible.

Erm, actually i think the video shows nothing.

 

What it shows is a 1 min long video 50+ seconds no cars in front of it.

And since there's no sound, we have to take your word that this bugger honked you.

There was also more than 1 car behind you, could the honker be the taxi since the taxi was ahead of the black SUV?

 

Only at the very last few seconds got this goondoo braking for nothing.

Maybe he may get a fine for stopping middle of road. Maybe.

 

And, it seems to me the poster of video should have seen the bugger braking at quite a distance.

Somehow he never slow down at all, choosing to jam brake at the very last minute. And the left lane was empty.

I would have switched lanes(or stayed in my left lane), somemore video poster moved over to the right lane the black SUV was on.

Really, kinda weird.

U need to ustand its very hard to drive those long trucks.

 

Its good manners to give way to them when possible cos once ty start the turn, its impossible to stop half way. Ty must continue their turn.

 

If I saw that some distance off, I wud hv slowed n stopped fr it to complete its turn.

 

Sometimes good road manners is the best insurance policy u can ever have. [nod]

The problem is that it starts to turn when my car approach the junction...I have to e brake and stop completely for it to make the turn....

Ya but try to ustand the difficulty of those trailer truck drivers. Its very different from driving a small car.

 

Their trailer wil eat 2 or 3 lanes when ty U turn n ty wil hv to wait fr all the lanes to b clear b4 ty start.

 

If ty got no experience or guts or drive like women, ty might b waiting to make that U turn all day.

 

Even when I see those trailer making a left or right turn, I wil not move n wait behind them cos their trailer wil eat at least 2 lanes when ty turn.

 

If u also try to squeeze beside them, good chance their trailer wil side-swipe yr car. [bigcry]

Maybe the taxi driver u-turn n anger the BMW cutting into him. nevertheless this BMW Jst too much. Since video up Liao, he sure kana fm TP tats for sure.
