Turbocharged

My past 3 sets of tyres are F1A1, F1A2 and F1A2 from german.

Now on ps3, lousy tyre compare to F1A2. even when it is new, it already so noisy.

Now abt 10k km, noise is worst. Regret big time.

Maybe im to used to F1A2

Im on 17". Prices for ps3 and F1A2 are the same price.

I agree on this.

Previously on CSC5 but wears out very fast.

Currently on F1A2 for 1000km. Steering feels a little heavier but gives more feedback on the roads.

I paid 180 for 225 45 17 for mine. Manufactured 1314. [drivingcar][drivingcar][drivingcar]

PS3 is not lousy , just your requirement is more bias to noise level.

If PS3 lousy, then falken tyre is shit liao.

Falken is pretty bad IMHO.

Yokohama tires isnt fantastic either. Skidded on the aspec DBs a couple of times.. [:|]

If you want performance, don't complain about noise.

Good tires save your life and are for your safety, get used to it.

If noise is a concern, get some nice ICE and turn up the music, you won't need to worry about the tire noise after that.

"Yokohama tires isnt fantastic either. Skidded on the aspec DBs a couple of times.. [:|]"

Aspec DB is not a performance tire by a long shot. Its a comfort based tire. If you skidded, you were going too fast for the grip level it provides. That is an immediate sign to switch to a better tire or that your tires are bald. Yoko's AD07 AD08 will provide better grip that either the PS3 or F1A2.

PS3 gets my vote. On a side note I was on CS3 and now on CS5. CS3 is much better...

Yup. I also on PS3 for quite some time now.

No regrets. [thumbsup]

I'd like to find out a bit more about the PS3:

Is yours manufactured in Europe or Asia?

What do you like about it: wet/dry performance? Braking distance? Comfort level?

Which car do you drive?

I find the F1A2 to be just as noisy as the PS3s. Tried both and my preference is the PS3, just put on a new set not long ago.

seems like you got diff exp like others claimed the F1A us quiet.

just curious what driving machine the tyres?

Legacy wagon. I swapped between the 2 before deciding to go back to PS3 for the 3rd set. Once the "quiet new tyre" honeymoon is over, they're as noisy as each other. I prefer the feel from the PS3, there's something about it that gives me more confidence.

Just want to share my experience. New on this forum. [:)]

I'm a strong supporter of the F1 ASY and PS3 but recently read a lot of negative reviews on PS3. Anyone experienced any unpleasantness with the PS3? Quality dropping?

I am currently on my CSC5. Has good grip in wet and dry weather condition even after 48/km. No side wall cracks or at least not any that's visible to my naked eyes so far but there are small chips on the tread.

However by far the CSC5 are the best tyres I've used because I am getting really good mileage with it.

My PS3 made in Thai.

Driving an Optra Estate.

Tires size 205/50/16.

The dry cornering [thumbsup]

Braking [thumbsup]

Last very long. [thumbsup]

Wet I never really try hard cornering long time but so far I push a bit hard grip also [thumbsup]

Noise not high (maybe I a bit deaf though)

Comfort is fine for me but I more concerned with handling. Its a bit bumpy but feedback tru steeringwheel is good n response also good. [thumbsup]

Now I dun really ride hard so long time never really push it to its limits but I have full confidence in dry cornering.

If got beng chia wan to jio me n follow close I take fast corner I see him dare not follow. I corner I see him far back in my mirror. Then I slow down he also dare not come near again. He maju n stay far back from me. Hahaha.

There r a few corners on my regular routes n I just waiting for those yaya papaya drivers jio me. I whack the corner can see the yaya driver no face already. He stay far back.

But I do regular alignment so grip is very good. Nitrogen also dun pump hard. Only 215Kpa all round. Just nice.

May I know how much for yr PS3? Size? Thanks.

Mine is 205/50/16 Madfe in Thai.

$170 ea.

Your review helps me decide on my new set of donuts. Was on f1 Asym. Now csc3. The Goodyear way better in dry and wet performance than the contis.

My coming set would either be F1A2 or PS3. I guess u have just help me decide.
