Branteo Clutched February 6, 2013 Share February 6, 2013 Not possible leh.............. It's possible lah. Transferring an existing VRN onto another vehicle, .. while a new VRN is to be assigned for the old one. Did that before lah. While it is completely legal, I doubt TP will smile much when, back then, we drove two vehicles out together, and parked side-by-side.

Givechance 1st Gear February 6, 2013 Share February 6, 2013 (edited) Can happen usually one is old car waiting for transfer....there is a grace period to legally chance the plate. But in this case....two new cars.....very unlikely. Unless the owner change from GS250 to the GS450h? One is a normal GS...the silver one is a Hybrid version. Someone can check the details of the licence plate....to see what color and model the licence plate car is registered as. The cars could be belonging to the showroom maybe? And they in the midst of changing plate? The plate is registered to a GS 350 F Sport, so I presume the grey one is the 'right' one. Could it be the owner upgrade from a normal GS to one with a higher trim? After, rich people do funny things which we commoners will not understand. Givechance 1st Gear February 6, 2013 Share February 6, 2013 If it is possible to buy a unregistered car from the PI or AD. Then the photo situation can happen easily. With the high cost of COE.....it's even more enticing to do it. Just make sure don't meet up with the same plate on the road.....and of course DON'T get caught for speeding or traffic offence. While it is completely legal, I doubt TP will smile much when, back then, we drove two vehicles out together, and parked side-by-side. I don't think so its legal technically. The new car owner can only use the old VRN upon the transfer being completed, if not he'll just have to be contented hanging the temp license plate (used by car dealers/agents) over the one he's taking over to drive around. Conversely, the old "car owner" has to relinquish using the present VRN. I doubt if LTA/ROV looks approvingly if such a practice is done. cheers
